*Have a moment of appreciation for this gorgeous guy*

"Come on Cher. Relax, I'm sure he's going to call you soon." Lola said, but I could hear she was not so sure anymore too.
It had already been a week since I last saw James, so to keep my mind off him, I worked all week long. I knew I shouldn't have had so much hope, but I couldn't help myself but look out to the next time I'd see him.
I checked my phone about a hundred times this week, hoping that suddenly a message from an unknown number would appear, but that never happened.
Clearly he thought differently. James was the one who proposed that we should 'hang-out' again.
I was just disappointed. Although I didn't really know him I could see he was a funny, easy-going, nice guy.
"Yeah right, whatever. I'm gonna go for a run." I really needed some time to relax after this whole stressful week. A new edition of Vogue was coming out soon and I finished my column right on time, before the deadline.
"Don't lose hope." she joked, "He showed interest in you, so he's probably just nervous or so."
I scoffed, "You're getting crazier by the minute." James had asked me in face-to-face if I wanted to hang out again, so I'm sure that asking it through a text message wouldn't be a problem for him.
Lola just laughed. "All right I'll call you later, have some fun this weekend okay. And that's an order."
"Fine, have fun with your new boyfriend." I grinned suggestively.
"Cher! We're just friends!" she exclaimed trying to convince me and probably herself, but I knew better. That night I had left her with Jack surely had turned out great. "Bye! Love you Cher."
"Bye, love u too." I chuckled and hung up.
I threw on my new running pants. A run was definitely what I needed right now.

I looked on my watch. I had already been running for an hour! I must've been saving up a lot of energy this week and now it all came out and flowed through my body.
The path I choose to run on was very quiet and you could hear birds sing their beautiful songs. I loved nature. The nicest places were always the places were almost no one came. Maybe the fact that it was still very early in the morning had to do something with the tranquillity too.
My rapid pace began to tire me and my strides became sloppy. I stepped on one of my shoelaces and allowed myself to take a breather while tying them.
I kneeled, but had been so absorbed in my running that I didn't notice there was someone behind me. The person stumbled over me, surprised by my sudden stop, and I fell too.
Did I mention where I fell?
In the freaking MUD!
I scraped through the mud and felt some of the cold substance slip in my sports bra. "WHAT THE HELL! Watch where you're going!" I yelled, the mud was all over me, especially on my face. Not that it was completely his fault, on the contrary, I shouldn't have stopped so suddenly in the middle of the path.
He looked at me with a stunned expression, probably because my face was full of mud. That must look pretty scary with the whole screaming thing added to it.
After I got some mud of my eyes I looked over to him. I noticed he lay in the mud too.
"Oh my! I'm sorry, that was really rude." I tried to make up for my yelling. The guy looked up and smiled slightly, the shocked expression leaving his face.
