"If you're at my side I guess I am."
A small smile formed on my lips. "Cheesy" I laughed, trying to lighten the mood.
Dave laughed, but it didn't reach his eyes. He was still thinking about what James did and it didn't really put him in a good mood.
After another moment of silence I said, "I am and will be. Always"
The sincerity in my voice should've scared me, but oddly enough it didn't. Dave was an amazing person and I knew he would never do anything to hurt me.
I was vulnerable and not sure what Dave was going to say, but I knew he felt precisely the same way for me as I for him. I don't trust people very easily, but Dave I trusted and I really cared for him. I've really got to know him in these past few months and he was simply an amazing, handsome, funny person.
These days I found myself enjoying moments in company of Dave, or James the most. But James was in the past now and I wouldn't be enjoying his company for a while after the stunt he pulled this morning.
Dave rich brown eyes looked deep into my eyes, like he was trying to figure out if I was lying or joking, but my eyes held nothing but sincerity.
It's only now that I realized how close we were sitting. Dave's arm was wrapped around me, pulling me close, and our noses were almost touching.
I was not sure if this was the right time for this after James had just kissed me, but I wanted to forget it. Maybe it was selfish, but that's precisely what Dave's kisses did to me. They made me forget everything around me.
I slowly leaned in, my eyes never leaving his. There was no teasing as I pushed my lips on his softly.
Dave's eyes closed as soon as our lips touched and so did mine. He immediately kissed me back, but more forcefully. Probably having the same goal as I did, forgetting everything that happened today.
Nothing mattered anymore, just us. There was not much I could do, but kiss him back harder as Dave began to kiss me more forcefully.
The position we were currently in was pretty uncomfortable, so I tried to move my body without letting my lips leave his. Dave noticed my weak knees and steadied me before I could crash to the floor.
It must have looked very stupid, because Dave let out a small laughed when I finally straddled him on the couch.
I lay my finger on his lips. "No laughing. Just kissing." I ordered.
"Yes madame." Dave smirked as I hovered over him, letting my curls cascade around him. I grabbed his chin and pulled his face back up to meet mine.
I wanted him to keep kissing me forever, but unfortunately our moment was rudely interrupted by Dave's ringing cellphone.
Both out of breath we broke away and I let myself fall back on the couch, earning a small chuckle from Dave.
After taking a few deep breaths Dave picked up the phone. "Hello?"
Dave frowned shortly while listening to the person who called him. "No problem. I'll try to make it." He finally said.
Dave hummed in agreement. "Bye." He saluted and turned to face me.
"That was my PA." Dave frowned and took a quick glance at his watch. "I need to leave in about half an hour."
"Such a shame." I gave him a small peck on his lips and sighed.
As Dave went to walk upstairs he turned towards me. "Can you please make breakfast while I shower?" He smiled sheepishly. Of course he knew I could never say no to that cute face of his, so I simply nodded before making my way to the kitchen.
