Luke's POV

"Mom! You know it's the only place I can bring her! I won tickets to the opening, I can't afford anything else. I will barely be able to buy her a drink for fucks sake!"

I am beyond pissed. I can't believe she's reacting like this.

"Don't you dare cuss at me, Luke Hemmings!" Mom is scarily calm. This happens when she is really mad.

"Whatever. I'm picking Lucy up now."  I stride out of there and towards the car.

No one and nothing will ruin this for me.

When I get to Lucy's house, she's standing in her porch. She smiles widely when I pull up and opens the door, walking towards me. I take in her appearance, starting from her feet up.

Holy fucking shit. She's wearing heels, a fairly short white dress, and a black leather jacket. The white of her dress gives the impression of innocence, but then you get to her red lipstick and to be honest, sex hair. innocence is knocked out the window.

She gets into the car, and her dress rides up, giving me a better view of her perfectly tanned legs. Jesus. I think she's trying to kill me.

"Hey," she says in a slightly confused voice. Oh. I'd say she's wondering why I'm staring at her. My eyes are probably out on stalks.

"Erm, hi. You look really hot." Oh shit. I didn't mean to say the second bit out loud. She goes red. "Thank you."

at the club

"Oh my god. That's fucking David Lawrence. Over there! In the VIP section!" Lucy looks like she's going to combust. I'd recognize the wildness in a fangirl's eyes anywhere. There are three things in this situation. A fan, her idol and the burly security guard standing in her way, alongside a velvet rope.

I grin. It's Stan. "Stan," I head over to the muscular guy in front of the rope closing off the VIP section, pulling Lucy with me. Angry grumbles come from the people who we just skipped in the line.

"Luke! Dude, it's so good to see you! Last time was, uhm, Madison's party?" Stan grins. Madison is a girl from my hometown. Stan used to live there too, but he moves around. He's doing a gap year, and earning cash with his bulk. He sent me the Twitter link for this event.

I slip him as much as I can afford, and he lifts the rope. We're in. Lucy gasps. "Oh my god. Thank you so much, Luke!" I smile at her. "That's OK, Lucy Lou."
