Peeta POV:
When I got home from the bakery at around five, I saw Katniss holding an ice pack to Daisy's face. "What happened?" I asked curiously. "James happened, but don't be mad at him ok? He just didn't want to hurt my feelings. I will explain later. Just go upstairs and talk to him, I will take care of Daisy." I obey her and rush upstairs thinking how Katniss handled this.
I get upstairs and walk to his room and open the door. Usually he is playing some kind of cool board game, but now, he is sitting on his bed doing nothing. "Hey bud, what's up?" I ask him trying to sound cheerful. And then he starts to cry. I don't know exactly why until he says with a sob, "I don't want to be like mom, I want to be a baker like you!" Now he is sobbing harder. I go sit next to him and attempt to comfort him. He started to go from a hard sob, to little tears. "Ok then, you want to get started?" I ask him, hoping he says no because I'm tired as hell right now. "What?" James asks surprised. "Ya, I can take you to the bakery tomorrow morning and let you take a look around, maybe bake something."
"Ok, thanks dad, love you." he says politely. "I love you too son," I say as I kiss him on his forehead. I leave his room and go downstairs to check on Daisy and Katniss.
"Hey Daisy, are you feeling better?" I ask my daughter sympathetically. "Ya daddy," she says in her sweet little voice. "Ok good," I say as sweet as possible. I kiss her on the forehead and go to Katniss and I's bedroom. It's huge, with our own television set and a huge bathroom. I lie down on our king sized mattress and take a nap, and now I see nothing else but my dreams.
I wake up at around seven and exit our bedroom. The kids are asleep and I find Katniss tearing apart the hand-made bow that was supposedly for James. "You don't have to do that Katniss," I say attempting to cheer her up. "It makes me feel better," she states with a sigh. So, I kiss her and go to sleep.
