A story in which you are the leader of a gang and wish to exact revenge but...
"Manjiro~" (y/n) laid on the sofa in Mikey's room while he sat on the floor watching television. The (h/c) haired girl turned around on the sofa so her legs were over the top and her head was hanging off the front "Manjiro~"
"What? I can't hear the tv if you keep talking" Mikey looked at his friend over his shoulder and she pouted.
"You invited me over but we're just watching this boring movie and Draken's gone to tinker with your bike so I'm all alone and bored," she wined. Then under her breath she muttered "Koko would be more entertaining than this."
"That black dragon that you punched?" He rolled his eyes. Did she really just compare her childhood best friend to some guy she met not too long ago?
"Yeah, when we were hanging out together the other day we spoke and joked around the whole time. But you're just ignoring me" she poked his cheek.
"I thought you liked this movie!" He slapped her hand away.
"It's a kids cartoon Manjiro! No wonder Draken left to do other stuff."
"It's a good movie!"
(Y/n) and Mikey argued together when the door to his room opened and a blonde haired girl entered.
"Emma you're my saviour" (y/n) jumped off the sofa to Emma "Manjiro's making me watch cartoons"
She laughed and brushed her hair from her face "well I'm afraid there's not much I can do to help you there (y/n) but where's Draken?"
"He got bored and went to tinker with Manjiro's bike or sumthin like that" she explained. And just like that Emma left Mikey's room once again leaving the two alone with their cartoon.
"Why do you trust him?" Mikey asked in a surprising soft tone "that black dragon I mean, Kokonoi's his name right?"
"Huh? Because he's my friend" the answer seemed pretty simple to (y/n), of course she trusts her friends. But evidently this wasn't a good enough answer for Mikey.
"What if he's manipulating you? And he could be planning to betray you or something so why are you trusting him so much" the frustration he was feeling began to surface, his eyebrows were furrowed and his voice was a little more raised than before.
"I don't know," she answered honestly "he's kind, yeah I got mad at him that one time but it's not a big deal and the first time I met him he helped me out with that weird old man who was following me and stuff"
"But his helping you did that to your hand" he gestured to the girls arm that was still wrapped in a cast.
"Nah this is my fault, I got mad and punched too hard" she thought for a moment "and I don't think he's manipulating me, well I guess it's more I hope he's not. I really like him, you know?" She had a smile on her face that seemed almost sad, the fact that in only a few days they'd be fighting weighed on her. She wanted to fight Taiju not Kokonoi but it's not like she can go there and say 'hey I want to fight you but that guys my friend so let's just excuse him before we begin, okay?'
She was also worried, Kokonoi had to be strong right?
Despite what she said she wouldn't actually get the black lizard to hold back against Kokonoi and Inui, even if she did they probably wouldn't listen to her. It was Reiko they respected not (y/n), they were just scared of her because of how she acted when she was around them but they never realised that that's all it was. An act.
All she could hope was that Kokonoi would be okay and that the only person to die would be Shiba Taiju.
