Izuku, November 17th, 8:41 am
I slowly shoved a spoonful of cereal into my mouth while gazing out the window. I was technically falling asleep standing up.
Who knew that was possible?
"Izuku," My mother said from behind me. My soul nearly soared out of my chest. "Did you snooze at all last night?" She asks while pouring me a cup of coffee.
"...Yeah, I did." I lied. I was up all night watching yet again, a new show. It was intriguing, I couldn't help myself.
She sets the cup of coffee on the table next to where I was standing, "It's Saturday, honey. Don't your friends want to hang out?" She looked at me as if she were expecting me to say I have too many friends to bare with.
I only had three people who were generous enough to talk to me at school. Todoroki, Iida, and Uraraka.
I couldn't ask for a better set of friends. If it weren't for them, I'd probably be in my grave right now. After she got no reaction, she just assumed I didn't want to chat right now and strolled out of the room. She constantly went out with her friends on Saturdays. So, I didn't expect her to be home at all today.
I could hear my phone ringing on the table next to my coffee. I picked it up and answered without looking at the contact.
"Yeah, hello?" I say into the phone. Whoever it was clearly didn't know it was right in the damn morning.
"Yo," Kacchan said. I nearly spat out the remaining food I had in my mouth. "Don't take this the wrong way, but my mom is forcing me to hang out with your ass."
I look forward to the trees swaying in the light breeze before setting my bowl down and sighing into the phone. "How come you're listening to her all of the sudden?" I ask. "It's not like you ever do, anyway."
I couldn't hear anything but him rustling with papers on the other end of the line. "Dunno just shut the fuck up. I'll be over soon..." He hangs up the phone, leaving me with this obnoxious buzzing.
Papers..? Papers. Our test was Monday. I rush over to the sink, my bowl now in my hands. I set it down without thinking and run over into my room.
This was bad. Really bad.
Katsuki, November 17th, 9:00 am
As I step up Deku's doorsteps, I see his mom standing in the doorway. She beat me to it. "Hello, Katsuki!" She exclaims. I force a small grin towards her and walk into the house.
"Izuku should be in his room, feel free to go in," She shuts the old rustic door behind me while I take my shoes off. His place was different than when I had last seen it.
The walls were a different color. That was the main idea, I think.
I walk down the hall towards Deku's door. How'd I know it was his? It was a huge All Might poster on it with a few of his drawings surrounding it as well.
"Deku," I knocked on the poster. "Let me in already." I heard a desk drawer slam. I couldn't help but jump a bit at it.
He opens the door. He looked like shit. "H...hey..!" He said. I heard the sound of a computer playing in the background of his awkward greeting. I walk into his room. I was used to Deku's friendly nature, so this was odd.
I sit on his bed while watching him scramble with papers and shove them into a red folder before putting them into his bag.
I glace over at his computer next to me on the unmade bed. It played American Horror Story. I was quite familiar with it due to Shitty Hair forcing me to watch the first season with him.
"Good show choice," I said. He turned around and grabbed a few dirty clothes from the floor before putting them into a basket. "I didn't know you were into stuff like that."
Deku didn't seem to care about my conversations making. So, I just looked at what he was doing.
He was changing his shirt. I looked down immediately and cursed inside my head for looking at the wrong moment.
"We're both guys, Kacchan," Deku looked over at me who was now peeking through the openings of my fingers. "It's not a big deal," He throws his dirty shirt at me.
It wasn't a big deal. He was right. I hated the nerd anyway. He finished picking up his room then sat on the bed next to me. He seemed nervous for some reason.
Just then the show began to scream. Deku slammed the laptop closed and rested his face in his pale freckled hands. "Again, why are you here?"
"Mom. she forced me."
"No, you wanted to come over. I know you did"
I look over at him deliberately. I didn't want to be here anymore. He always turned things tragic and soapy. "I didn't, nice try though."
He sought anything from me. It was relatively amusing to watch it take place at times like this.
"You're just ashamed cause you realized how fucked up you are, aren't you?" He consults. It was more like a statement than a question.
I shrug. He wasn't wrong, yet he wasn't right. I didn't care about the guy enough to waste time like this with him every day. His cursing wasn't a daily thing, though.
He must be pissed to start speaking to somebody like that.
"What're you trying to get at?" I raise in question. "You're trying to get me to call myself a dick?" He just glances over at me before nodding.
"Of course," I sigh. Standing up, I look at his room. It was covered in All Might merchandise. "How cute," I say sarcastically. "All Might? He would hate this."
I proceeded to make my way out of his room until he tugged my hand quickly and yanked me back. "Geez, what the hell?" I yelp before stretching my arms.
He sure knew how to piss me off, that's for sure.
"Don't leave," He awkwardly declared. "I can't use another weekend alone." I look at the boy whom I made fun of moments ago, beg me to stay longer.
Cause he didn't wanna spend today alone? Hell no. "I'm leaving," I say before making my way out of the bedroom. I saw his mom grab her purse and leave the house without saying goodbye to either of us. She looked all dolled up. Makeup, a fancy dress, anything you'd wear to a formal event.
I wonder what she's even doing. Does she do this all the time? Is this what he meant by being isolated constantly?
"I'll stay."
"What..?"
"I said I'll stay!" I yelled angrily.
