Katsuki, November 23rd, 3:00 am

Heartbeat. A rough, tainted heartbeat beat against my own. His face pale. The sweat that gleamed off of his forehead.

It was disturbing to see him squirm around in his sleep. So, I shook him. "Deku," I said. "Wake up."

His eyes shot open and he flew forward. He held himself for comfort. My eyesight blurred at the sight. Dumbfounded, I pulled him into a hug. "Nightmare?" I whisper.

He nods and rests against my chest while I held him up. His breathing slowed down with mine as he noticed everything was okay for the time being. "...What time is it?" He asks me.

I look over at the clock on his nightstand, "3:02 in the morning." He sighs and reached for a water bottle on the ground and took a sip out of it. It was probably a few days old by now. He didn't seem to care, though.

He got closer to me. I took this as an opportunity to pull him down into a short, yet passionate kiss. I seem to be kissing him non-stop the past day. It didn't bother either of us.

As I turned my head, he pulled me back and kissed me again. Then again. Once more. He lifted his head up and gazed at me. His dark green eyes. The unevenly placed freckles. He was perfectly fine right about now.

"What was it about?" I ask him. He just looks away and shakes his head back and forth twice in a row before laying down next to me. He pulled me down with him.

"It's not important."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah."

"...Okay."

We lie there in comforting silence. I watched his eyes slowly close as he grew more tired as time went on. I took this as an opportunity to get some sleep as well.

...

This whole day has been a normal, long, boring day. The only good thing about it is that it was the day before break started. Thanksgiving break.

With my family being how they are, I wasn't too thrilled about the whole dinner with your family thing. Never was, never will be.

The break we got away from school was the only thing I was technically looking forward to. Maybe I could spend some of the days with Deku, and only Deku.

I make my way over to him at the empty lunch table. Icy-Hot and pink cheeks seemed to be shit talking about him a table away. I give them a dirty look before sitting down across from him.

"Whatchu got today?" I ask. He shrugs and points down at an apple. "What the hell, dude?" I pick it up and slid him my tray full of food I just paid for back in the line. "Eat mine instead, alright?"

He was acting weirder than usual. "Is this due to that dream you had?" I question.

"Yeah, maybe."

"What's it about?"

"You wouldn't wanna know, it's stupid," He begins to eat the food infront of himself slowly. As if he didn't want it, I knew he wanted to eat that whole damn tray in one bite if he could.

I shouldn't be forcing stuff out of him. He doesn't want to talk about it, and that's final. Nothing more.

...

I read over the section in the text book that Mr. Aizawa told us to do with our partner. Now all we needed to do was answer the work sheet. I hear Deku groaning slightly as he bites his lip. I look up and poke his book with a pencil.

"What's up?" I ask. "Also, stop doing that," I start, "It's annoying." He glanced at me before looking down at his worksheet and grabbing a pen out of his bag.

"What's question one?" He questions. He was moving away from my question. Whatever, though.

"It's (A)."

...

After we finished our school work for the day, we were released early to go home. I didn't need to be home tonight by a certain time so I stayed after class to talk to Deku for a little bit.

"Why're you still here?" He asks. I help him collect his papers and notice he's still shaken. It's been hours?

"My mom wouldn't wanna see me so soon, anyway..." I put the papers into his folder before shoving it into his backpack momentarily, he zipped the zipper. "Besides, I wanted to see if everything's okay with you."

He hesitated to lift his shoulders before dropping them again. His face was paler than usual. "It's gonna be my first break without mom, that's all."
