Currently at a Pro Hero registration headquarters.

Ronnie looks around the room and thinks to himself. You have to be joking, why do I think I have a chance becoming a Pro Hero? After sitting in this line all day I realized how under-prepared I am. How did all these people get hero outfits just like the pros. I looked into it but it cost an arm and a leg. Speaking of which, they are twice my size. How am I going to compete? After all, I can't even use my powers.

Ronnie has brown hair, brown eyes, just an average-looking 20-year-old 160 lbs.

In the waiting room there is a tv on the wall playing a message to all the people waiting. "No one recalls when powers first appeared in our world, it almost seems like they've always been here. But we do know ten years ago the number one hero Solefire appeared and ever since. The world has been safer. But he can't do it all alone, so we need you to join the hero association and help those that are too weak or scared to help themselves. We need your help to become a hero!"

"Solefire, what kind of stupid name is that?" One of the men in the waiting room said aloud.

"Don't pretend like you don't know, it is symbolic." Another woman in the waiting room replied.

"Symbolic? Give me a break, he is just trying to be cool." The first man said.

"You know he goes by that name because when he first started his shoes would catch on fire because he runs around so fast. So it's a symbol to other people. That they can do good without fancy equipment." The woman replied.

"Ronnie, it's your turn. Please make your way to the testing room." A secretary over the intercom announces.

All right, this is it! I'm going to go in there and impress the judges! I'm not going to leave here without my license! Ronnie thinks to himself.

In the room, three heroes are sitting at a table facing a stage. There is a man in the back using a camcorder.

"Please state your name, age, hero name, power name, and demonstrate to us your power." one of the Pro Heroes said to Ronnie with curiosity in his voice.

Man, this is going to be rough. Ronnie thinks to himself. Ronnie takes a deep breath then states. "My name is Ronnie and I am 20 years old. My power is Armor Lock. It is a force field that appears around me making me invulnerable. But it has a downside. If I have it activated I cannot move and it barely comes off my body so I can't block a large area from attacks."

"Wow, you can become invulnerable to attacks. That is a pretty impressive ability kid. Please show us. If you need one of us will attack you so you can demonstrate how durable you are? But don't worry, we'll be holding back. We don't want you to die on the first day." Pro Hero says to Ronnie, smirking.

Ronnie thinks to himself. Wow, who the hell does this guy think he is? I've never even heard of him before. Ronnie takes a deep breath and says. "Sorry, but I have trouble controlling my power. I can't activate it whenever I want." Ronnie looks down in shame.

"And why is that?" The Pro Hero asked, sitting back looking irritated.

Ronnie puts his head down. "I can't control it that well yet. I know that will be a problem. But I'm willing to work on it so I can be a pro."

"Kid you have to be joking, there are countless hero turning camps. This is not the place to sign up for one, go to them, then come back once you can control your power." The hero said as he leaned over and pressed the intercom button then said. "Please send in the next applicant."

"I did, I went to seven schools but no one could help me understand my power. I was hoping a true hero and experience is what I need to understand my power and help people." Ronnie said.
