questioning the kid and a world government meeting

Andrew, Sophie and Cagematch started to question the boy that was trying to flee with the Boss.

"Ok kid, so what were you doing with the Boss, are you related to him? Are you working for him? What is your endgame?" Andrew said, getting in the kid's face.

The kid looking off in the distance started to shake and he began to cry. "I don't know once my powers activated my parents took me to the doctor. so we could find out how they worked. After a few dates the doctor said I needed to stay overnight. That was the last time I saw my parents. That was over 5 years ago. I can't even remember their faces." The Boy began to cry uncontrollably.

Sophie began to tear up and she looked shocked thinking to herself. I couldn't believe he had been separated from his parents for most of his life. I wondered what horrors the boy saw. No kid should be separated from their parents like that.

Andrew looked over to Cagematch. "See if you can find a missing person report and see if there are medical records his parents should be on the paperwork. But keep this on the down low we down low we don't know who the boss has working for him we can't trust anyone not even the cops i have a feeling the boss is willing to do anything to get the boy back."

The kid looked up in shock, his lip trembling as he muttered. "Thank you!" As he began to cry, again.

"Why did the villains kidnap you? Is your power incredible or something?" Andrew said.

"Most of the time I was in a room by myself. Rarely they would come in and make me go up to a man who was tied to a chair and had a bag over his head. They told me to put my hand on his head and my other hand on another prison in the room. After I did that they would leave me alone in my room. Sometimes it would be countless nights alone." The kid tried to stay calm but couldn't help crying and looking horrified.

"They had to be using his power but what is it maybe taking someone's memories or maybe swapping their bodies?" Andrew put his hand up to his chin.

Before they could continue talking, the sound of an explosion began to emanate through the streets. Everyone looked up and they saw a smoke cloud in the city.

Andrew, Sophie and Cagematch run toward the van. "We have to go see if we can help and bring the kid. We can't leave him alone. Who knows where the Boss is? He may try to take him again." Andrew said.

Far away at the world government meeting. Solefire is sitting at a table with the leaders of the world. Matthew is standing giving a presentation as he begins to talk. Solefire's phone goes off. It is a report on the explosion and reports of monsters in the vicinity. Solefire started to stand up and one of the leaders spoke. "Is there something more important than this meeting?"

"There was an explosion and monsters are attacking. I need to go help." Solefire said.

"There are other heroes in the area, we are working on the new mandates. That will shape the world for the betterment of everyone your place is hear." One of the leaders said.

"Come on, it will take me 10 minutes to stop all the monsters and help people." Solefire spoke as he walked to the door.

"The other heroes can handle it, you can't leave. You are the number one hero. You need to be the voice for the heroes. we can't continue without your input." One of the leaders said.

"Besides, this will prove my point. That the heroes we rely on aren't enough for the growing threat. you all stopped my experiments in enhancing are powers to keep up with the evolving threats. One of the villain's must have had the same idea. That is where these monsters come from!" Mathew slammed his hand on the table.
