Exam results, Meeting Matthew, Ordering hero gear

The hero stood up and said. "Ok well, I tallied up all of your scores and. . . . . I welcome you to be pro heroes. Please go to the front and get your license."

"But you deducted so many points?" Andrew said.

"Yea, but that was a part of the test to see how you would react." The pro hero said while getting their papers together.

Sophe and Andrew go and take their photos and meet up with Ronnie at the front while they wait for their license.

"Ok, here are your license." The teller reaches out their new license. Ronnie, Andrew and Sophie look at their new hero license.

"Wow, my rank is 351,782!" Sophie grinned and clenched her license.

"What, your rank is 351,782? My rank is only 352,897." Andrew snatched her license to see for himself.

Ronnie put his license in his pocket

"Hey, what rank are you?" Andrew glared at Ronnie.

Ronnie looked away. "Oh, it's nothing. My rank is not much higher than yours."

"Let me see." Andrew reaches into Ronnie's pocket and is shocked. "Come on! Not much higher? Give me a break."

Tacoman snatches his licenses. Let me see "Are you telling me that your rank is higher than mine was when you started working for me?"

"Really? What is it?" Steven asked.

"His rank is. . . . . 321,508!" Tacoman said furiously.

"Really that low. What was your rank when Ronnie started to work for you?" Andrew asked.

"Tacoman was a hero for a few years before Ronnie joined. So his rank was 322,839 when Ronnie joined." Steven said while Tacoman started to tear up.

"You don't need to tell them that." Tacoman said, hitting Steven in the back of the head.

"Why is his rank so high?" Sophie asked.

"Because I took out the monster in front of the news cameras and all the civilians saw me. So they had proof that I took out the monsters. Ronnie said, taking his license out of Tacoman's hands.

"Yea, now that you mention it, why didn't you do the paperwork? If you did, we wouldn't have had to take the test and all of our ranks would be even higher." Andrew said, looking mad.

"I didn't have time." Tacoman said defensively.

"Didn't have time, what do you mean! . . . . ." Andrew said.

Sophie interrupted and said. "Let's look on the bright side. Now we can get hero gear. So don't think about the numbers. Let's think about what this means for the future. We can be true heroes once we get equipment." Sophie said, trying to comfort Tacoman and calm Andrew down.

"That's right, now that we have enough heroes. We can apply for the grant and get sweet gear!" Steven said excitedly.

Thay go back to the office to apply for the grant.

The woman is typing out their request. Everyone is in the room except for Jose. "Ok, now you have enough heroes, you can get the grant. You will get money for hero gear or an office, vehicles or whatever you need. But you said you want gear, so I will put in the application. Now do you have any preference on who the maker of the gear is? What I mean is which company are you ordering from?"

"Yea, we have a referral from the number one hero for this company." Tacoman reaches under his hat and hands the paper with the hero referral on it.

"Wow, ok this is the best gear creator on the market. You won't be able to get a lot of gear from him, but maybe he will give you a break since you were referred by Solefire. Let's see if he has an opening. Ok, he has an opening, but you need to get there in an hour. If you don't, it will be a few weeks before he can see you again." The woman looked at the team.
