"If you need me, I'm here. Just a call away."
"Call me if something happens."
"Are you okay? You can tell me anything you want."
"Sshhh it's okay. Just let it all out. It's not a sin to cry."
How many times have you heard this phrase? From how many friends or people you know heard this about?
How many times did you ever wonder that those people saying they are there for you are also in need of someone too? Desperately hiding their call for someone to also provide a shoulder to rely on?
How many times did you wonder that reliable and dependable people need people like themselves too? How many times did you think, 'You may be a strong admirable person but you're human too. You're not anything special just someone normal.'
How many times? As someone constantly onthe receiving end of this kindness provided by others?
Probably close to zero.
I want to tell this to people so that they'll be informed. So that they won't just ignore that person's well being and to be able to return what they received.
Not like I did.
Too dependent that I see it as normal for that person to help me. Nearly saw it as a need, a responsibility of that person as someone who first offered such help and comfort.
And that's wrong. Very wrong.
They maybe as wise as aking, as strong as a warrior but they are still humans.
Humans have emotions, they have expectations, they feel pain, they make mistakes.
That's why, if you haven't thought of that now, start thinking about it now.
And do something about it. Don't neglect them now that you know. You've been informed and it's time for you to take actions.
