I put Luna down, in her crib and quietly turned off the light as I stepped out of the room. I walked my way downstairs and saw that it was already midnight. I looked into the living room and saw only 2 of my brothers.

"Pony's not here yet?" I asked them as I plopped down onto the couch, putting my head on Soda's lap. Darry was sitting in his armchair, looking very stressed and worried.

"No, I called everyone already, but they ain't seen him." Darry said and rubbed his temples.

"Do you want me to go look for him?" I asked Darry.

"No, stay home. Don't need my kid sister getting lost too." Darry said.

We all waited for a couple of hours and me and Sodapop ended up falling asleep on the couch.

Finally we heard the front door creak open. It was Ponyboy. Darry shot up from his chair and started yelling at Ponyboy.

"Pony! Where the hell have you been?!" Darry shouted.

"I-I was at the lot with Johnny, and we sorta, kinda, fell asleep." Ponyboy quickly explained. At this point, I got up off of Soda's lap and we both got up off the couch.

"Me and your brother and sister have been worrying out asses off this whole time! You know, we can't even call the cops cause they'd throw ya'll into a boys' and girls' home so fast, it would make your head spin!" Darry yelled.

"I'm sorry ok! I didn't mean to!" Ponyboy said, starting to raise his voice a bit.

"Come on Pony, let's go to bed." I said and put my arm around him. I started to walk him up, when Darry grabbed my wrist.

"Where the hell do you think you're going? I ain't done talking to him!" Darry said and I let go of Ponyboy.

"Darry come on!" Sodapop said and walked over to me and Ponyboy.

"No! That's it, I've had it with you 2 tryna defend him all the time!" Darry shouted at me and Sodapop.

"Don't you talk to them like that!" Pony screamed at Darry.

Then something unexpected happened. None of us thought this would ever happen. Never, ever. Darry smacked Ponyboy. I could see tears well in Pony's eyes and before any of us could do anything, Pony ran away.

I looked over at Darry with my eyes wide open and my mouth agape. Darry looked down at his hand and was trying to register what he had just done.

"I-I didn't mean to," Darry said.

I looked over at Sodapop, my eyes asking him what I should do next.

His eyes were full of surprise and sadness. His eyes told me nothing. We didn't know what to do.

We didn't know what to do

Me and Sodapop could understand each other with just looking at each other's eyes. It was a twin thing. We called it a "Twinutation".

I walked over to Darry and gave him a hug.

"Don't worry Darry. It's not your fault, and its not Pony's fault. You're just overworked and stressed, we get it. Right Soda?" I said and look over at Soda.

"Yeah, he'll come home, Dar." Soda says and walks over to us and gives Darry a hug as well.

"Now come on, you need to get some sleep." I said and help Darry up to his bedroom. I stayed there until Darry fell asleep. Then I got changed and brushed my teeth and went over to Soda and Pony's shared room. Sodapop was already asleep and I fell asleep next to him.

'Don't worry Olive. This'll all blow over by morning.' I told myself.

Hiya peeps. Sorry this chapter was so short! I really didn't want to add anything else, it would have ruined the essence of this chapter!
Anyhow, tanks for reading this and making it this far!

No jazz before the rumble!
