The car hadn't fully stopped when Johnny, Ponyboy and I hopped out. We ran straight towards the church where a bunch of adults were standing with a couple of little kids. I ran up to one of them and asked, "What's going on?"

"The church is on fire!" one of the adults say.

"Yeah, duh, I can see that." I said, with sass. Then a lady walked up to all of us saying, "Richard! Some of the kids are missing!"

"I'm sure they are right here!" Richard said back and then we heard some cries of young children coming from the church. Ponyboy and Johnny took off straight into the church when Dallas yelled, "Get back here! Where the hell are ya going?!" and then I disobeyed him and head straight into the church, because I hate listening to Dally and because Ponyboy and Johnny were in there.

I entered the same way Ponyboy and Johnny did and as soon as I got in my eyes start stinging and my throat started to dry up. There was smoke everywhere and little fires here and there. I heard another scream and I followed the noise. I entered a room where Ponyboy and Johnny were picking up little kids and shoving them out the window. I saw that Dally was also outside the church grabbing the kids from the boys and putting them down, safely. I ran over to them and started helping Ponyboy and Johnny.

Finally, we got the last kid out when we heard a big creak.

"Get outta there!" Dallas shouted to us and we didn't hesitate to do so.

We ran out the same way we came in and first Ponyboy got out, then me. When it was Johnny's turn, there was a huge groan of wood breaking and from way above, a huge piece of wood came down and hit Johnny.

"Johnny!" I shrieked and then something sharp hit my head, and everything went black.

Yeesh, what a short chapter! This one was only like 3 hundred something words! I'll try to make the next ones longer but the short ones like these will always end off with some foreshadowing or cliffhangers.....
