Two Lands

I was born from two lands
Born of two tongues
Kept from both people
I belonged to none
A language said
I don't speak it well
Another sneered saying
Don't use mine, don't tell
Angry, thirsty
I then went door to door
I found other languages
And in my throat poured
After longing for acceptance
I paid an unfair price
It was then I had realised
My blood alone shall suffice
Both my parents' languages
Had failed to accept me
If there is no place on the two lands
I shall make mine in the sea
