Picure is of Becca

It has been about three weeks since they came here.

My little life now leaves no trace of all the weird stuff that happened, as if it never really truly even happened for real.

My heart and brain working in sync trying to make me believe it was all just a delusion. All that anger, curiosity, fear, anxiety, all those emotions feels released, leaving myself with a feeling of reassurance.

Finally feeling like everything in my life has gone back to normal and the feeling of that is very comforting. From today on I can start working on forgetting his face, his words, and his touch forever.

Those Metallic cerulean eyes…

“Jess hello I’m talking to you, you know.”

I focus in on the face that is right in front of me and remember my best friend Becca was saying something I wasn’t listening to.

Yeah, sorry, I was lost in thought.” I apologize. She gives me a look, but continues.

“Like I was saying… So this hot boy in my class just kept looking at me. And then, after class, he asked me out and for my phone number.” She squealed in excitement.

“Okay, so did you say yes?” I question.

“Yup!” She says totally thrilled.

“I say you shouldn’t go out with a guy you just met.” I advise.

“Ugh, what, am I twelve years old now? I think you’re too old fashioned.” She rolls her eyes.

Then this certain look that she does comes up on her face, when I know she’s about to say something I don’t like.

But… if you want to make sure I’ll be okay, he does have a friend. You and I could double date- it would be so fun.”

“Nope, Never.” I state, simply.

“Oh, come on. It will be fun, plus you need to start dating again. You’re a real catch, you know. You could have so many dates, I guarantee.” She reasoned.

“I know that already, because we both know that I’m the prettier friend.” I teased.

“You are such a bitch.” She instantly replies. I laughed.

“Well, are you coming or not?”

“I don’t really want to… What if the guy is some creep, Or if he is really crazy ugly? Although, if he had a good personality I-” I am cut short.

“Don’t worry about that! Hot people keep hot company.”

“No, they don’t, actually. You apparently don’t see me and you.” I laugh.

“And the first-place bitch award goes to… Jesse Ameli!” She said. Although she clearly didn’t like it however, I still love teasing Becca because of the way she reacts, it’s always the same.

“Whatever, fine, I’ll come,” I say, finally giving in.

“Great. I’ll text you the details later- bye.” Becca says walking off.

It’s like 6:15 pm and Becca has yet to text me, not like if I mind if she forgot and I didn’t have to go anymore.

I lie on my couch and stare at my phone, probably because I’m so bored. My phone finally buzzes and then I finally realize why did I agree to this in the first place?

J meet at Mick’s Diner date starts at 8:00 don’t be late

P.S don’t overdress and order a salad.’

I roll my eyes at the last part and throw on my red converses and the black hoodie I had wore to collage today. I give myself a quick look in the mirror, my face looks fine and I’m not overdressed so I think I’m ready to go.

I look over at my bike pondering whether I should take it or not. Nah, riding a bike to a date is uncool and, plus, I would be really late, and not to mention sweaty. I got on the bus for what seems like the start of the lifetime after an eternity looking outside at the dry frosted world as the bus moves along.

I finally reached the diner, to see Becca outside, I nearly fell down at her appearance. She was really over dressed, and was wearing a ton of makeup. She must have really liked this one…

“Hey, prom queen.” I say, unable to hold the laughter in. She ignored it, saying,

“My god, you’re so late! And what are you wearing? I said don’t overdress, not ‘make sure you underdress.’ Ew, those are the same clothes you wore to school?! Come on, it’s a date! Whatever. Besides that you look appalling at least your date is so… HOT.” She smiles excitedly.

Yeah right I knew she was kidding anyway, let’s get this over with. I walk in to the diner with Barbie to the back of the diner to see two guys.

“Jesse, this is David, my date. And this is your date, Mekhi.” She introduces.

“Hi,” Mekhi says. “Your friend told me that you were unsure about this date due to my physical appearance can I ask if my exterior is up to your standards?”

All I could feel is my face heating up I haven’t seen a guy this pretty since Obsidian. I could tell this was going to be a good night.
