I didn’t understand what was happening until my front door was knocked on twice, matching the fast-paced beating of my heart. The vibe was dark but still I got up to see who was knocking. I tip toe to the door,
”Who is it?” My voice comes out small, and slightly squeaky.
I can’t see anything through the peephole because of the smudge covering it.
“Damien, come out come out where ever you are.” A deep unknown alluring daunting voice sings.
“That’s my big brother.” Damien says.
I realize that means that he is another vampire. I open the door slowly, only to see a more beautiful angelic figure standing in front of me.
His eyes seem to impale my body as if he can see everything inside me… all my emotions and thoughts.
The unfriendly sneer of his lips scares me. His eyes are so penetrating; the blue flames that lit them so electric it makes my heart flutter from static shock. The charges his eyes give out bestow me with energy which seems so surreal like his face.
His bone structure seems to have been carved with stone, as it is hard, straight, and perfectly chiseled. His thick but still soft looking eyebrows are blacker than tar, and arched to a perfect height.
His delicate, pale, rose-pink lips are thick and have a natural shine. His pointed nose is placed perfectly on his flawless, snowy paper-white skin, looking as if it was made in the icy cold environment that lay outside- like pure white, untouched snow that makes up a white utopia.
His wavy, black, long bangs flutters in his eyes ever so slightly and the rest came to the middle of his neck is like silky black satin, and as thick as an animal’s fur and a little unruly.
But his eyes are the only thing that are so beautiful but so ugly at the same time.
His beast-like beauty is so unpredictable, so obscure… so untamed.
“What do you want?” I ask which is quite a stupid question on my part.
“Who are you?” he counters.
“Who are you?” I ask, though I have a small feeling like the question he asked was rhetorical.
“Forget it, I don’t want to know so move.” He says authoritatively, and I laugh.
“Excuse me?” I ask, incredulously, not believing that he is so commanding.
“You are excused, so move.” He rolls his eyes, signaling his annoyance by my talking back.
Suddenly he walks in the door, hunching over to move unimpeded through the door frame-
“What, wait how can you even get in without me saying you can?!” I ask, which is the second stupid question of the day.
He bursts out into a strong laughter,
“What? Your telling me believed all those bull-shit myths were true?! Wow how pure, stop reading the vamp books, okay.”
My face flushes, why is it that it seems like this guy always seems to have something to say to humiliate me.
“Don’t you dare speak to me like I’m a child? Listen, I don’t care if you’re some strong, supernatural being who thinks that you own me, but… You don’t.” I say which turns out to be a bit of a mistake because his lips forms into a slight sneer as he steps close to my ear, whispering,
“Do you want me to own you?”
Then he touches the tiny bite wounds still barely left on my neck, the ones given to me by his little brother. I freeze.
“Revolting,” he sighs.
“Wha-?” I say embarrassed, because I kinda thought he was going to bite me.
“Unfortunately, babe, I would never bite you, you’re not my type. Sorry to disappoint.” He says, running his finger down my neck.
“Don’t touch me!” I shout bewildered by his comfortable movements.
“Ooh, feisty- I like it,” he starts, “But your blood is repulsive. And besides, that would make you seconds after my little brother’s sloppy meal of you. My lips, therefore, would never touch you physically. Now where is he?” He demands finishing his little speech.
I don’t know why, but I had just figured every vampire was tempted with any kind of human blood. I feel a little bit more than embarrassed at this point now.
“Damien, please come out here, your rude guardian is here.” I say giving him a very distasteful look but of course he just can’t let it go and has to counters with a big beautiful, full teeth smile which annoys me so much, why is he such a dick?
Damien peeks from my kitchen, tears already in his eyes. They look at each other for a very long time, Damien trembling in my kitchen with his older brother giving him a look that looks as if it could kill. Then he motions for Damien to come.
“Come here, now.” He commands.
But Damien runs to me instead, clinging to my leg. He is so scared right down to his poor tiny core.
“What are you going to do to him?” I ask in a brave tone.
He laughs.
“Let me see… what will I do to my little brother? My little brother, who ran away from home, so that I had to fetch him? Of course, it is none of your business. But what I could do to you now, for knowing too much, is something you do have a business of knowing.” He grins at me wickedly, liking the blank reaction I create on my face instinctively.
What could he be thinking of doing to me?
