Shot 1 - Love and Crosses

Surat Railway Station.
Afternoon 3PM.
A girl who is 24yrs old and a boy of 25yrs are standing on the platform waiting for their friend to come.
She is looking very tensed.
Ofcourse boy too...but not so much.
They heard an announcement of the train for the departure which they have to get in.
Girl : N...Neil vidyut ab tak nahi aaya...
Neil : Don't worry Avni...I think vo raste mein hain....
Phone bhi nahi ut raha hain.
She is sweating badly in a fear and tension.
Neil kept his hand on her shoulder.
Neil : Avni....relax ...vo ayega.
Avni : M..mujhe kuch thik nahi lag raha hain Neil....
Bohot ajeeb lag raha hain..
Neil : kuch nahi hoga....ok...
Avni noded.
Neil is dailing vidyut's number continuosly.
At last he responded.
Neil : Vidyut kaha ho tum...jaldi aao...train chut jayegi yarr...
Avni is looking at neil excitingly but still she is tensed.
On the other side,vidyut made a disgusting face.
Vidyut : I..I...I'm sorry....
Neil : W..what??
Vidyut : Ab...mein nahi aa sakta...
Neil shocked.
Avni felt something wrong.
She snatched the phone from his hand.
Avni : V..vidyut....t..tum arahe hona??
Vidyut : Nahi Avni...I'm sorry.
Avni : Kya bol rahe ho tum vidyut..
Vidyut : Avni mere ghar mein koi bhi tum ko accept nahi kar raha hain..
Meine bohot koshish kiya lekin koi bhi maanne ko taiyar nahi hain.
I'm sorry Avni.
Shayad hamara relationship yaha tak hee tha..
Avni dropped the phone in a shock.
She didn't have any idea about what is happening right now.
Stream of tears started flowing from her eyes.
Neil felt bad for her.
Meanwhile,he is very angry with vidyut for betraying Avni.
Neil did not have any idea about how to console Avni.
Their condition is worse.
She left her chacha and chachi.
And she left her father's last memory,her house just for vidyut.
Neil being a best friend for Avni,he helped her to do so even though he felt it wrong.
Neil saw some men are coming towards them running.
They had a weapons in their hands.
He is damn sure they are coming to kill Avni.
And they were sent by her chacha and chachi.
His eyes automatically widened.
Suddenly he heard a whistle sound as a green signal for a train.
Neil watched the moving train and then at Avni.
He held her hand who had no moment.
Neil : Avni..chalo.
But she is not moving.
Neil : Avni...chalo....jaldi.
Avni is stucked in her place.
Only the tears are frantically flowing from her eyes.
Those men are almost nearing them.
Neil : Avniiiii chalo...
This time he shouted out loudly.
And he started dragging her.
The train is still moving slowly on the platform.
And Neil decided to catch the train and get into that train.
Neil started to run holding her hand firmly.
With a lot of difficulty he is dragging her.
Neil looked back.
Those men are almost close to them.
Neil : Avnii....pls...chalo...
Mere liye...pls...
He shouted again.
Avni looked at him.
Suddenly she felt that she has a strong support when she looked at him.
He is the one,who is with her in all the hard times.
And she is regretting now for trusting that vidyut whom.she trusted blindly.
Looking at him,she started to run along him.
Neil : Jaldi...
They both are running as fast as possible to catch the train.
First Neil made her to get inside the train.
Somehow they both got inside the train.
Both are panting.
Avni still didn't have any emotion on her face except those tears.
Neil looked at her and he felt pain in his heart after looking her in that state.
Avni started to cry out loud.
She leaned to the board and collapsed while crying.
Neil moved to her and sat on his knees.
Avni looked at him crying.
Avni : Kyun kiya usne aisa Neilll.....
Meine aankh band karke barosa kiya tha uss insan pe....
Sab kuch chod ke aaya hoon Neil...
Neil wiped her tears.
Neil : Mein tumhara dard samajh sakta hoon Avni...
But pls tum aisa math ro yarr..
Avni : N..Neil....k..kya mein galat thi??
Neil : Avni tum hee keh rahe ho ki tum aankh band karke uss insan pe bharosa kiya tha...isme tumhari galati hain Avni...
Lekin isse jyada sau guna uss vidyut ka hain..
Lekin Avni....you have to be strong.
Avni : Nahi Neil....meine bohot badi galati kar diya.
Meri vajah se aaj tumhara bhi jaan katre mein ho sakti hain.
Agar vo log mujhe doond kar nikalega tho tum bhi mushkilon mein phas jaoge Neil.
Neil : Nahi Avni...koi kuch nahi karega.
Trust me...
Avni suddenly stood in her position.
Neil astonished.
Avni : Nahi Neil...meine bachpan se aaj tak sab kuch kho diya...lekin tum jaise ek achi aur sachi dost,ek acha insan ko meri vajah se nahi kho sakti.
Mujh se aur nahi hoga Neil.
Jaha tak mera chacha chachi bhi mujhe maarna chahte hain Neil...kyun Neil...aisa kaunsa paap kar diya hain meine.
Neil couldn't see her like that.
He held her face.
Neil : Tum bohot achi ho Avni...
Tumhara koi galti nahi hain.
Vo log bass tumhara property ke peeche pade hue hain.
Avni is sobbing.
Avni : Nahi Neil..tum jaisa soch rahe ho vaisa nahi hain.
Meri vajah se tum ko bhi katra hain.
Agar mein hee nahi rahungi tho kisiko bhi problem nahi hoga.
Avni : H...haa...yahi sahi rahega.
Neil : Avnii kya bole ja rahi ho..look at me.
Avni turned her face around and looked out of the train.
The train is moving in a high speed.
She is continuously looking out thinking something deeply.
Neil continuosly calling her but she is only looking out.
Suddenly Avni ran to jump from the moving train to commit a sucide.
She almost fell from the train....and the electrical pillar was about to hit her head,just then Neil puller her back.
And he slapped her really hard.
Avni had no moment.
She didn't even surprised after getting a hard slap from him.
She looked at him slowly with a teary and hurtful eyes.
His eyes and face were red in anger.
Neil never got angry with Avni.
And for the first time he lost his temper when he saw that Avni decided to take that worst step.
Unknowingly,the tears started flowing from his eyes too.
If he couldn't save her in the time,the unexpected thing would have happened.
Avni again started crying out.
Neil hugged her tightly.
Neil : Kyun yarr.....kyun....
Avni hugged him back while crying.
Avni : Mein marna chahthi hoon Neil....I...I...j.just...want to die..
Neil looked at her in anger.
Neil : just shut up .....varna...
Avni bowed her head.
Neil wiped her tears.
He held her hand.
Neil : Chalo ab....
But Avni is moving from her position.
Neil sighed.
Neil : Chalo.
Neil said in a bit louder.
Avni went with him.
First he made her to sit in a seat and he settled beside her.
The tickets were already booked.
The train has empty seats mostly.
Neil held her hand with his two hands.
He is still angry with her,but he has to pacify her for the situation.
He has to bring back that old Avni.
Neil : Ab tak agar mein police officer ban chuka hota na...tumhe jail ke andar daal deta.
Avni didn't stopped crying.
Again he wiped her tears.
Neil : Avni...sucide is not a solution.
Avni,hum kisi aur ke liye hamari zindagi kyun barbaad kare?
Ye life hamari hain,isse hame koobsurat bana na hain aur kulke jeena hain.
Avni is listening to him.
Neil : Ek baat bolo.....jab tumhara parents iss duniya ko chod ke chala gaya tha tab tumne sucide karne ke liye socha tha kya??
Avni noded in no.
Neil : Phir tum sirf do saal pehle jis Insan tumhari life mein aaya tha,uss insan ke liye kyun marna chahti ho??
Jo chacha,chachi tumhare bachpan se kabhi bhi tumhe jara sa bhi pyar nahi kiya unn logo ke liye kyun marne ki soch rahi thi tum??
Avni listened to him but she doesn't have any answer.
She kept silent all the time.
Neil : bolo....
Avni : I'm sorry.
She whispered those two words.
Neil chuckled.
Neil : I'm still angry with you.
Kam se kam iss dost ke baare mein bhi nahi socha.
Vo bhi 7saal ka purana dost ke.
Avni : Mein dar gayi thi ki vo log meri vajah se tumko kuch kar denge ..
Neil : Neil Khanna se panga itna asan nahi hain.
Neil khanna kud ko protect karna aata hain aur dusron ko bhi protect karna aata hain madam.
Avni : Tumhari tarah itna himmat nahi hain mere andar.
Neil : Rakhna hoga....
Avni : Vo log bass property ke liye mujhe marna chahte hain Neil....
Neil : Tho???
Tum uss ghar ko nahi chodoge.
Avni : Nahi Neil...mein aur risk nahi le sakti...
Neil : Avni....jab tum uss ghar se Bagh ke ayi ho na...tab se vo log aur gussa ho gaya hain.
Agar tum uss property papers mein sign karke aajata na vo log kudh tumhe bahar bej deta.
Avni : Aur vidyut....meine kabhi nahi socha ki vidyut aisa karega.
Ab mein kya karu Neil??
Kaha jaungi mein...
Neil : Kuch math karo.
Aram se jiyo,mere ghar mein,mere parivaar ke sath.
Avni : Nahi Neil...tum pagal ho.
Neil : Ab pls yarr...
Avni : Tum samaj nahi rahe ho Neil...mein tum logo ke sath rahungi tho...sab katre mein honge.
Mein ye sab nahi chahti hoon Neil.
Neil : Avniii....tum mere sath ghar ja rahe ho and its final.
Avni : N...
Neil : Tumhe meri kasam.
Avni stopped speaking further.
Neil held her hands and assured her.
Neil : Mein hoon na....sab thik kar dunga.
Avni : V..vidyut...
Neil : bhul jao uss vidyut ko.
Avni was silent.
Still 2hrs of journey left to reach mumbai.
They both sat silent for sometime.
After sometime Avni felt her eyes heavy and slept on his shoulder.
Neil looked at her and patted her head softly.
Later Neil thought something and osef his eyes.
A lone tear fell from his eyes.
There are lot of unbearable things inside him regarding Avni.

Mumbai.
Khanna's mansion.
Neil along with standing infront of main door waiting for someone to open the door.
Soon Shweta opened the door.
Shweta saw Avni and her eyes widened in happiness.
Shweta : Avniii....
Shweta engulfed her in a hug.
Neil smiled.
Soon bebe and prakash too came there.
Again tears formed in avni's eyes.
She hugged Shweta and crying silently.
Shweta looked at her who is crying.
Bebe : Arre...puttar kya hua??
Shweta : haa kya hua??
Prakash : Tillu...tum ne kuch kiya hain kya??
Neil : Haww....dad..
Avni : N..nahi...uncle Neil kuch nahi kiya....
Bebe went to her and kept her hand on her cheek.
Bebe : Phir kya hua puttar??
Avni : k...kuch nahi bebe...mein aap sab ko miss kiya.
Shweta : Aww...we miss u too.
Bebe : Ab andar aao dono.
Prakash felt something wrong with avni's behaviour.
All settled on the couch.
Neil : Mom,dad,bebe aaj se Avni hamari ghar mein rahega.
Shweta : Woww...sach mein??
Prakash : ye tho bohot achi baat hain.
Bebe : Haa sach mein..
Avni : B..bass kuch dino ke liye..
Shweta : Vo sab baad mein dekh lenge...ab tum yaha reh rahi ho....that's final.
Bebe : Haa...ab tum log upar jao aur fresh hoke aao.
Shweta : Avni chalo mein tumhe room dikata hoon.
Avni : Jii.
Shweta took her upstairs.
Later Shweta came downstairs and settled beside Neil.
Prakash : Neil sab thik hain???
Neil : Nahi dad....Avni thik nahi hain.
Bebe : kya???
Shweta : Avni ko kya hua??
Neil : relax....aisa kuch nahi hua.
Prakash : phir??
Neil told them everything whatever had happened.
Shweta : itna kuch hua??
Bebe : bichari...uss vidyut ne aise kaise kar sakte hain.
Prakash : Jo bhi ho ..vo Avni ko deserve nahi karta.
Shweta : rights.
Suddenly bebe's brain started to run like a power machine.
Neil : Thik hain ab mein fresh hoke aata hoon.
Shweta : okays...

Night 10PM.
Neil is in deep thoughts.
He is really upset with Avni and at the same time he is very sad for her.
Neil povs..
Neil : Avni tum bohot achi ho....koi tumhe dhoka kaise de sakte hain.
Well,that bastard don't deserve you.
And I promise you I'll make everything perfect.

Avni slept in a bebe's room as per bebe's request.
Sleep was far away from her.
She is still sad thinking about those incidents.
Avni povs.
Avni : Shayad sacha pyar hee jeet jati hain.
Acha hee hua....jis Insan se meine kabhi pyar hee nahi kiya tha....usi insan ne dhoka diya.
Ye tho hona hee tha.
Lekin mujhe laga vidyut sach mein mujhe pyar karta hain....
Shayad isi ko kehte hain "pyar mein andha hona"
Uss vidyut ne pyar karne mein mujhe majboor kar diya..
Acha hee hua.
