Hella tired. So excuse the bad grammar if there is any.

"WEI WUXIAN!"

Wei Wuxian snapped awake, his head pounding and his chest tight with agony.  As his eyes migrated around, he caught sight of his sibling, not related by blood, but still so close that they were. Then he saw him.

 Lan Wangji.

Wei Wuxian choked on a silent sob as images flashed beneath his eyelids as he closed his eyes. Golden eyes and disheveled  hair that any Lan would disapprove of. The hand that trembled as it held his in a vise-like grip.

The same voice roared again, this time it seemed to quiver; as if the person was going to explode any minute. "Wei Wuxian! You have the audacity to sleep in my class?!"

Lan Qiren, uncle of the twin jades.

Wei Wuxian  looked upwards, then met the older man's  gaze, his eyes seeming to reveal a sudden change. "No, sir," he finally said, straightening.

Lan Qiren was struck speechless for a moment  before he let out a breath. "Hmph." After that turn of events, he turned, continuing his longer-then-life lecture.

Wei Wuxian, the once feared Yiling Patriarch was back. Now stuck in a body he thought he would never feel again. His shoulders hunched and he stared at his quivering hands. The hands that killed hundreds. The hands of a mistake, a sinner. He bit his lip, his throat bobbing. After a moment, Lan Queen called him again, this time a bit sharper.

"Wei Wuxian, what do you do when there is a fierce corpse after someone?"

Wei Wuxian blinked, his mind going blank. He placed a finger on his chin, furrowing his brows as he tried to remember the original answer. When it clicked, he rose to his feet. "Well, first you have to purify it from the resentment then you could ask what that soul wanted for and why it's staying in the land of the living. Then, you could try and fulfill that desire so that soul can rest."

Lan Qiren pursed his lips before accepting the answer with a nod.

"Dismissed." He waved a hand, his expression somewhat pleased.

With his back against the wall, Wei Wuxian covered his face. He felt no comfort in knowing he had restarted. He hated the idea, actually.

A knock sounded, a Jiang Cheng's voice called, "Wei Wuxian."When there was no reply, a vain popped on the back of his hand. He tired again. "Wei Wuxian! If you don't answer, I'm kicking the door down!"

Wei Wuxian exhaled, stood, turning to place a hand on the door. "ChengCheng!" He plastered a rictus smile across his face, although he knew his brother could not see it. "Do you want to get scolded by the old goat for hollering such a threat?"

On the other side, there was silence as Jiang Cheng's face turned a verity of colors. "What is wring with you, Wei Wuxian?"

Everything. Everything was wrong. "Nothing is wrong, ChengCheung!" Wei Wuxian managed through his teeth. "I'm just a bit tired!"

Tired.

Exhausted.

Waiting until he heard the footfall of the other fade was when he slumped over,  his forehead in contact  with the smooth wooden door. Wei Wuxian didn't think he could take anything anymore. He couldn't relive this. He has no will nor strength. Tears then began to stream freely down his smooth cheeks.

Why can't I die?

Die....

Those words echoed in his head and he immediately straightened.  Raising a hand, Subian was pulled into his grip. Wei Wuxian unsheathed his weapon, his tear-streaked face reflecting in the newly polished blade. His reflection then shifted, revealing a pained-smiling Yilling Patriarch.
