A/n Hello. I hope you guys are staying safe and healthy. Tbh, my life is quite boring right now since I haven't had motivation to do anything. I also saw the trailer of TGCF for the second season and I almost died of excitement. 😂 (sorry for the long wait. Also, a bit lazy. My apologies.)

"Jiang Cheng! I smell rice wine!" Wei WuXian cried as he leaped onto a nearby boat. He grabbed bamboo stick and began his short journey to the stand. 

Jiang Cheng just stood there, covering his face with his hand. 

Making way his down, Wei WuXian did not see a pair of white robe twins stood on a small bridge. 

"Wangji." Lan Xichen said, his usual smile plastered on his face. "You seem happy that I invited Wei-Gonzi to get rid of the water ghouls in Caiyi town."

"Not happy. Didn't want him to come." Lan Wangji grit through his teeth, looking back at his brother, his face emotionless. 

Lan Xichen raised a skeptical eyebrow. 'Wangji, you liar.' 

"Did not want him to come," He repeated, not making eye contact.

"Young man." A young woman crowed, "Why are you running off so quickly? Would you like to try my newly picked loquats?"

Wei WuXian laughed, "Thank you for the offer! I'll try some when I come back!" His mind drifted to the future event that he hoped to stop. 'Oh, was this when I crashed- ' his body jerked. 

Jin Zixuan stared up at Wei WuXian, his eyes narrowed in unamused manner, wine dripped down from his eyelashes and strands of hair. "Was that intentional, Wei WuXian?" 

"My apologies, master Jin."  Wei WuXian bowed.

Jin Zixuan sighed. "Even though I knew this was coming, I still hate it." He cleared his throat, trying to act cocky. "It's such a wide river. Did you really need to hit me?"

"I wasn't paying attention. I could get you more wine."

"No thanks." He stood.

"... did you just say 'no thanks' politely? Holy sh-"

"Just make sure the  Jiang clan of Yunmeng stays away from me."

"What?" Wei WuXian balled his fist. 'This happened, so it must continue.'

The two stared each other down, sending silent messages.

Nie Huaisang suddenly appeared in front of them on his own boat, waving his fan. "Eh.... Let's calm down, just calm down." 

The water bubbled, causing the boats to shudder and lurch.

"Wei WuXian, you-"

"It wasn't me, Peacock! You already forgot! Dumbass."

Jin Zixuan surprisingly shut his mouth, his eye twitching in annoyance. 'I fucking forgot. Oh no, he's going to have to bug me to stay on the timeline. Shit.' 

A grey skinned corpse lunged of the water, reaching for Nie Huaisang with it's withering hand; only to be smacked away by the bamboo Wei WuXian possessed. 

"They're  here!" Jiang Cheng yelled, mounting his sword.  

Paper talismans flew through the air, sealing some water ghouls. 

Nie Huaisang yelped as his boat was being yanked down by a very large ghoul. He scrambled up to the Highest part, hoping to not get pilled down. Jin Zixuan approached to help, but jumped back as a water ghoul appeared in front of him.
