"Andiamo dentro adesso." said Raffaele quietly as we arrived at the back exit. [translation: We're going inside now.]
I kept a tight grip on my gun, ready for anything that might happen in the abandoned building. I reached into the pocket of my hoodie and pulled out the silencer, calmly screwing it onto my gun.
Meanwhile, a man from my troop kicked the door open, and immediately the first men with Raffaele at their head rushed into the building.
I followed shortly after the men with their weapons drawn and moved forward until I walked next to Raffaele.
The interior of the house was shabby, here and there lay fishing nets or old boats around.
Slowly and quietly, we walked through the narrow dark corridors, everybody paying attention to every little sound.
Spider webs hung from the ceiling in the corners and the floor creaked as the many people stepped on it.
We walked past many small storage rooms, each labeled as empty by a couple of men.
Faint murmurs could be heard in the distance, which caused each of us to stop.
Raffaele raised his arm up in the air and motioned with a wave of his hand to go on. I looked at the sparkling watch on his wrist, if we don't get out in 28 minutes, the backup team will come in.
"Look." a brown-haired man stood at a corner looking into a room and beckoned us to come closer.
Slowly we moved towards him and peered around the corner into the room. Several boxes and computers were stacked in the middle of the place, they didn't look like they belonged to any fishermen here.
If this belongs to Valentin and his men, they should be here somewhere. "We'll go in there and take a closer look around this area." Raffaele said in a low voice.
I looked further into the room, my gun firmly in my hand. No sound emerged from the huge hall, it's as if no one was there, but sometimes our senses deceive us.
"Go." With that, our troop rushed into the hall.
The click of the many weapons around me accompanied me as we walked toward the boxes in the middle of the room.
Quietly and swiftly, we came closer and closer until we stopped in front of the equipment. Raffaele and I lowered our weapons, while the others in the room kept a lookout for possible dangers with drawn weapons.
"They are here somewhere, Raffaele. In the middle of this room, we're like targets." I warned the black-haired Italian who was looking over all the equipment.
"We still need to look around here before we make any more efforts to look for someone who is who knows where in this big-ass house." He gave me a challenging look.
"Stop!" one of our men shouted, looking in the direction of a door that led into this room. A few men entered the hall with weapons pointed at us.
The first man to enter the hall was none other than Antonio, who lowered his gun as he recognized us. He chuckled deeply, "Know your own people."
