My fingers danced lightly over the soft skin of her back

My fingers danced lightly over the soft skin of her back. Slowly they traced over the black lines of the skull that seemed to laugh, and shortly after, over the two crossed guns that were tattooed into her skin.

A soft sigh left her lips as she turned her head in my direction in her sleep. Her lips were still swollen and slightly parted as she breathed quietly and slowly. Her facial muscles were so relaxed, she looked so innocent that it was almost surreal. She is beautiful.

Beams of sunlight fell through the many windows in my huge bedroom and I blinked slightly as the bright light shone into my eyes.

My gaze slid over the many crumpled blankets that were carelessly thrown over both of our bodies on the bed.

Once again, my head tilted down to the woman lying in my arms, and I absently watched as my fingers gently grazed over her skin.

No nightmares plagued her for the night, she looked relaxed, somehow peaceful in my arms.

A gentle breeze of the chilly air of the morning blew through the slightly open window, causing the gray curtains to sway softly. Birds were chirping not far from the windows, probably right on the tree in front of them.

My thoughts wandered again to the Russian woman whose head was nestled deep into the pillow next to me. A sigh slipped out from between her lips and I saw slight goose bumps break out on her exposed back as the light fresh breeze blew through the room.

My hand that was just hovering over her back reached down now to the blankets that were draped over our lower bodies and I pulled a couple of the thin blankets over us, keeping the fresh breeze away.

A contented sound from Anastasia and the slight movement of her body made me suspect that she would soon wake up and the slight fluttering of her eyelids confirmed my assumption.

Brown, innocent eyes opened slowly and she blinked a few times, the sunlight seemingly bothering her.

I felt my heart skip a few beats as her nose wrinkled slightly and she looked me in the eye, a slight smile on her lips.

Oh God, I'm so whipped.

"Good morning." My voice was husky, somehow deeper, caused by the fact that I had just woken up.

"Morning." She whispered; fatigue still evident on her face.

A deep contented grumble came up from deep in my stomach and I wrapped my arms around her much smaller frame, pulling her up close to me.

Her hair, still slightly damp from the shower, fell into her face and rested on my chest as her head landed peacefully on it.

"What time is it?" she murmured in a muffled voice as she spoke against my chest.

"I don't know, but I don't really care." I grunted and pulled her up closer to me so that her head was nestled under my chin. I leaned forward slightly and pressed a light kiss to her hairline before leaning back against the headboard.
