Chapter-4: Beach Day

Pha POV:

We reached the cottage parking area in front of the beach. I can see that Beam is excited to visit the beach.

"Let's go, Beam, let's check-in for the day," I told him as I got out of the car.

I got our luggage out of the backseat.

"We are checking in? For the day? I thought we were taking a room for just changing and we will leave today." he said.

"Yes we are staying for the day, we can eat dinner here and go stargazing," I told him.

"Really? " Beam asked me, surprised.

"Yes this is your day, let's do whatever you want. Okay?" I told him and walked to the reception.

But I didn't feel him following me. I looked back and saw Beam still standing near the car.

"Beam?" I called him.

"Um. ya, ya I am coming." Beam said and followed me. I looked at him for a second and continued to go to the reception area.

"Thank you, Pha." Beam said silently after a while.

I looked him in the eye and told him "Hey... Beam, you don't have to say thank you to me, I am here because I want to hang out with you and see you happy because that makes me happy. Understand?"

"Yes Pha, Still thank you for being with me." Beam said with a warm smile on his face.

"Okay, let's go now!" I told him.

"Yes!" Beam said and followed me to the lobby.

We did the paperwork and got our cottage key.

"Let's go to our room, and get changed!" Beam said.

"Okay," I said.

We walked by the ocean to our cottage and freshened up and changed.

"Let's go Pha!!" Besam said excitedly. I am happy that Beam is happy that we are at the beach, it was a good decision to come here.

We hung out by the beach, played on the beach all evening. We also got some beer to drink by the beach.

In the evening we walked by the shore and the lights of the cottages were lighting up, it looked so beautiful with the sunset. I glanced at Beam, he looks beautiful from the glow of the sun and lights, he looks eternal.

"You look beautiful." I couldn't help it. But it's true.

"I- Pha! What- " Beam's face started to get red, I just smiled at his flustered face.

Beam POV:

"I- Pha! What- " Pha said what now?? Oh my god, why is he making me flustered? Why is he complimenting me like this?

I know my face is all red now.

Pha just smiled and continued walking. What? Now he is not saying anything!

"PHA!!" I ran after him, he ran away from me laughing, seeing him laugh made me laugh too and I followed him.

For a while, we followed each other and laughed and we got tired of all the running... so we sat on the sand and watched the sunset.

So beautiful. I am glad that Pha brought me here, if I was in my room I would just self-loathe and cry and drink myself to sleep while overthinking. I don't know why I am sad. I knew Kit didn't like me before, but now that I know I never have a chance, maybe that's why it hit me so hard. I think this was a great idea, I needed this break, I don't know how to express how grateful I am. I feel at peace.

"Thank you, Pha." I break the silence between us.

"You keep saying thank you, you don't have to thank me, Beam, I love that we are spending our time together," Pha said looking at me.

"I still want to say it. Just let me." I laughed. I feel at peace after a very long time. Thanks, Pha.
