So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours

Only hope - Mandy Moore

TIANA'S POV

"Mom, you can't send me off all alone." I whined standing in the middle of my mom's cabin as she went on to sign her papers.

"You're a big girl. No one has to take care of you all the time. So you will go alone." She said pointedly without sparing me even a single look.

I had been standing in my mom's cabin whining and complaining but she wasn't buying any of it. Going to Westport to attend all those meetings by myself was going to be harder than anything. And the fact that Westport held so much of my past wasn't equally pleasing.

"Okay, I will ask Matteo to come with me." I started stomping away and out of her cabin.

We were here, in Bend, with my whole family and everything was going as we wanted for the last six years.

Mom and Dad having to take care of the companies both being the CEO's in each wasn't easy. I was the COO at mom's and Treyson was the COO at dad's.

After moving into Bend, life wasn't easy at first but once I got into college, everything fell into place. My best friend Treyson joined me and not only him but also Matteo.

I had met Matteo in my first year and he became one of the best people in my life but he had no family as he was disowned by his drunkard father but my family made sure to help him with everything although he declined most of the offers but I was grateful we could give him a little help.

I sat in my own cabin and called him. He picked on the second ring,"Hello sunshine,"

"I smiled, "Hey Matt, how's work?"

"All is good. So why are you calling me right now? You don't do that often." He asked and true, I wasn't one to call him or anyone while  working.

"Matt, mom is sending me to Westport to deal with the project meetings for two weeks and I really wanted you to come with me. Please." This was a big request but I had to since going to Westport meant alot. It meant getting back into contact with the people I had left.

I had started a new life but I really felt guilty for ever leaving the people who were there for me behind. I still felt guilty for ever leaving Avery and Kim without a word. But in the end,  I had to.

Matteo sighed on the other side, "I am sorry sunshine, but the thing is, I can't. I have a lot to do but Treyson.... " He said and paused. "I will see whether he can, okay?"

"Okay fine." I really prayed Treyson would make it. I just didn't want to be alone.

"Keep your phone on your side." He said cautiously before hanging up.

I sat behind my desk in my cabin and let myself relax. Everything in my life was okay, dad and mom were happier than ever. Ashley had gotten married some months back and Asher was still single but happy. Matteo and Treyson were also there right whenever we needed them. Tula, thinking about the little boy who was all that made my smile grow every morning had me grinning sheepishly.

Bend was sure a place I would never leave despite anything that would require me to. I had found the peace I wanted here and I didn't hope to find it anywhere.

I had been relaxing in my seat with my eyes closed when the door immediately flew open and there stood Trey , "You know you can knock, right?"
