Him and I (Our Abrupt Engagement)

Chapter 11

Avery had been pacing in the room as Kim and Jace were playing games whereas me, I faked to snore.

"You know what Avery, You should probably pay back." Jace suggested.

"What do you think am thinking about?" She asked him in a matter of fact tone. He kept quiet and she knocked him hard enough on the head," That's what am talking about, silly."

"How about you take pictures of the messy house then show them to mom and dad. Or worse Reiner." Jace suggested again.

" Wow, I now know you have brains for a reason kiddo." Avery grinned as she hugged Jace.

"It's not like they will care, it's Declan." Kim shrugged.

I almost laughed at Avery's expression.

"Oh yeah, we have to get back at him in some other way." She said thoughtfully.

"You." Kim said with his focus on the screen.

"What ??" Avery asked raising her brow.

"As in you. I mean you alone have to look for a way to get back at him not we. You can be dumb sometimes." Kim said frowning.

"Oh please, you're all helping your friend."she said taking her seat right on my legs where I had hang them.

"Ouch... " I yelped in pain. " Get your bony butt off me." I pushed her off making her land on the floor.

"I knew you were awake." She smirked.

I had no hope of getting out of here so I tried to think of something that could get me to sleep right now.

I opened my eyes feeling a heavy weight on my legs and another one around torso.

I tried to shoot up in a sitting position but I felt a strong pain hit me in the back of the head. Guess that's what you get when you sleep on a couch.

I slowly pushed myself to find Aver's arm around my torso whereas Kim's head was on my legs.

Jace lay across us and we all looked like a mess come to life.

"Guys! " I tapped them lightly as they both woke up looking confused just like myself.

"Oh fuck! We slept here. I really want to use the bathroom right now." Avery shot up in  a standing position squeezing her legs.

"I could use a bed right now." Kim yawned warily.

I couldn't blame him because of the way we slept. It could get you tired and I myself felt the need to use a bed.

Suddenly, we heard footsteps walk down towards us. "Hey guys, fuck am so sorry this had to happen." Alec said walking up to us.

"Oh look who's finally here. Where were you all night long?" Avery was the first to ask as she was pissed.

" I really didn't know you guys were here. Where's Jace? Y'all could have some breakfast right now. And we have no school. Plus the kids are okay. " It was really funny watching Alec get nervous.

Kim shook his head at him and muttered some words I couldn't make out under his breath heading for the stairs.

I kicked Jace hard to make sure he woke up and we all  followed suit with Alec who had followed right after Kim.

Once we got to the main flow, it was all clean like never before. There was no sign of Declan anywhere.

"Hey, y'all left me." Mia pouted form the corner of the living room where I hadn't seen her there.
