Shuichi was the second leading detective in Naegiri Solved Inc.
He deeply loved his boyfriend, Kokichi, and girlfriend, Kaede, who both worked at Naegiri's tol. He also had the best helping hand of his best friend, Kaito. They were all his deputies...
"That's great!" Naegi gleamed. He joined his hands together in a cheerful clap. The early morning light bounced playfully around him. Making him look almost etheral. Even the lighting recognizes an angel.
Naegi flashed a look of realization and then concern. "You two stay safe out there, ok? We had to assign Toko and Komaeda with new cases. Some of them appear to be mock cases but we don't know exactly. It would worry me if anything bad would happen to you."
Maki smiled as if to say "we'll try".
Naegi showed a mild expression but before he could continue, Ms. Kirigiri came through the door.
"Makoto, come here, quick. We have a code! We need to go now. Right now."
The morgue wasn't supposed to let anyone but the police see autopsies. However, Naegi and Kyoko have a friend that works there. Code blue meant the private investigators are now allowed to see the cadaver.
Naegi looks back at Kiibo and Maki. "The wife's calling! I hope to see you two later. Until them Komaeda-kun is in charge."
Komaeda blushed and grinned. "Haha, I'll do my best, sir."
"I-I know you will." Naegi face blushed red too as he waved at his second command.
Ms. Kirigiri quickly grabs her husband's hand as they both bolt out the door. The door shut with a loud bang. "What about Togami!?" Naegi's voice slowly faded away down the street.
Komaeda chased the scene with a small chuckle before he got back to work.
Kiibo looked back to his temporary partner. They gave her a quick nervous smile.
"Kiibo,"
"Yes, Ms. Harukawa-san?"
"We are going back to the scene of the crime."
"Where we found Shuichi?"
"Exactly."
Kiibo thumbed his lip as he looked to the side. "I guess we should ask Shuichi to come, too."
"Absolutely not!" Maki slammed her hand on the desk. It rocked a bit making the pencils and pens in her holder shake.
Kiibo felt himself sinking into their chair. "Harukawa-san?"
"Kiibo, look at the date."
"Its April 12th."
"Its April 12th. Today is Kaito's birthday. Do you know where Kaito was before he disappeared?"
"Um. No."
"Shuichi's."
Kiibo eyes widened. "How do you know that? Why would he go there?"
"I know because Kaito felt bad for Shuichi. He told me one day that he was going to Shuichi's to check on him. And now...." Maki chokes back tears. "and now hes not home!" She looked up to the ceiling. She was holding back. Tapping her foot to calm her emotions."W-Why isn't he h-home? I keep asking myself when I know. I just know Shuichi has something to do with it. I just know it."
