California Empire

Prologue

America grimaced before watching California's feather pen come closer and closer towards the paper in front of her.

"B-but why? We gave you everything! Love, food, clothes, family!" Ame chokes out, in order to stop Cali from seceding.

California turns around, sending him death glares that would send shivers down anyone's spine.

America had never seen her in a state like this. She was always polished and clean, and tied her hair nicely into ponytails or buns. But now, her hair was in a messy ponytail, hair sticking out everywhere. Her nail polish was chipped and her purse was almost broken. There were large bags under her eyes, and she was dressed in all black, her least favorite color.

"You know why! Every single thing I say, the reply is 'shut up' or 'be quiet'! IS THAT WHAT YOU GAVE ME?" California replies, then focuses her attention on the page.

"Please Cali, we promise we didn't-," America tries to reason with her. But deep down, he knew they did that to her. The states did block her out, or even hated her. America was too busy to notice.

California ignores him and signs the page, ink staining her hands as an evil look crosses her face. Ame shivers, staring at the creepy smile spread across her face as she stands up, her hands on her hip, holding a gun in one hand, and the now cracked pen in the other.

"I hereby declare, as Califonia, to secede from the union, and create their own Empire! CALIFORNIA EMPIRE!" She chuckles, her blue eyes transforming into black.

Her beautiful white wings turn an ivory black as well, the glow of the moon casting an eerie shadow on them.

"NOO-," America screams, pain and agony all on one face. California was a valuable state, and losing her meant losing the economy, produce, and population all at the same time.

"Goodbye Ame-," She cackles in return, the gun pointing straight at his face, her hand on the trigger.
