California groaned as she opened her eyes, one by one. The world was too bright for her, and another wave of dizziness erupted through her body. She attempted to get up, her legs still feeling like jelly as she scanned her surroundings.
It was true, even though she'd never step foot in her own place, it was a wonder!
Expensive cars sped through the road as she looked at a very fancy lady walking down the street. California was awe-struck! She never knew this was how much of a paradise her state was.
"Excuse me!" California waves to a person sitting on the bench right next to her. She had blonde hair and was clutching an I-phone, her skin was a peach color.
"Hi, What do ya need?" The woman rolled her eyes, muttering something else that sounded like 'Tourists'.
"Uhh- where exactly am I?" California asks, a bit shook by the woman's sassiness. The lady rolled her eyes again, this time with more emotion.
"Uhm, your in LA!"
"I'm in LA?" California asks, and awestruck look on her face. The lady smiled and gestured towards the seat next to her. Cali plopped down beside her.
"Yes you are! Welcome to the City of Angels! You're in Hollywood right now," The lady points at a hill with letters stacked side by side on it. It read "HOLLYWOOD" in giant letters, peering down at the wonderful city every single day.
"Wow- thank you," Cali responded, and waved her good-bye, getting up and walking down the streets of the city. She needed to sign enough votes by 3 pm, before America would notice something wrong.
Suddenly a loud voice interrupted her thoughts, as she jerked her head around. There, standing just a few centimeters away from her was a young woman with her hair tied up in such a way that her hair was sticking out everywhere.
"I'm so sorry to scare you dear, just wondering how you get your hair like that!?" The woman asks her. California's face turns pale as she realizes something. If she wasn't in her normal state form, what was she!
Cali ignores the question and runs towards the closest bathroom she could find.
She ran towards the mirror and stared at it, only to see a stranger staring back. The stranger had brunette hair and pale skin, instead of Cali's normal red and white hair. Her skin didn't have her flag printed on it either. Instead of her normal clothes, she was wearing a tank top with the words 'Malibu" printed on it.
Not to brag, but Cali did feel pretty.
But not herself.
Now all she had to do was make puppets to follow her, which should be easy.
