Chapter 12

Alex was slow to open her eyes to see Sara. Steve and Chole said, "what happened to me? Last I remember walking on the sidewalk,'' as she slowly sat up on the bed. Sara looked at Alex, took a breath, and said, "you blackout on the sidewalk and were rushed to the hospital,'' as Alex got up from the bed and opened the blinds to see the paparazzi on the other side of the glass.

Alex looked away from them and said, "why are the paparazzi here? Because I'm not a singer or artist," Chole closed the blinds and said, "well, it is because of this,'' as she gave the magazine of all of Mark and Alex together in the pictures.

Then after she found it, she read it, passed it to Steve, and said, " how did they get them,'' as she felt like her world turned upside down because of it. Sara looked out the window to see Mark's car driven off and said "how about we sign out? Then headed back to the dorms". Alex nodded her head.

Soon after, Alex signed herself out and had Chole and Steve be her guards as the paparazzi were trying to get a picture of her. Then they brought in a black car. The guy looked in the mirror to see Alex and said, "you get used to them because it's part of the spotlight" Alex knew that voice anywhere and said, "dad," as he turned around to them with tears in his eyes.

Sara, Steve, and Chole were shaken from their faces, and Steve grabbed the bottle of alcohol from his jacket and said, "well, this day is full of surprises,'' as he passed it to Chloe.

Soon after, Steve and Chloe were drunk, so Sara took them back to their apartment. Alex moved up to the first seat beside her father.

Alex looked over at her father and said, "how long have you been following me," as he took his breath answered, "few months" Alex slowly opened the door and walked away from him. Her father grabbed her arm, and she said, "don't touch me" she got her arm free and continued to walk away.

He just watched as Alex walked away from him and said, "sorry, I Am that asshole and jerk, but please give me one chance," Alex stopped walking turn around slowly and walked toward them and said, "fine, this your only chance," as he feels like guilty has left his chest and pull her into a tight hug.
