For those of you who didn't notice , I tweaked the summary a little- from literature class to art class. I just thought of a really cool idea. Anyhoo , enjoy chapter 2!

Chapter 2- A Very Stereotypical Hight School.

The ringing of the bell cued the end of economics class with Mr. Davis and the commencement of lunch break. I had decided that I would eat my lunch in the library while reading the latest novel that had me completely engrossed.

I made stop at my locker to keep away my textbooks before heading to the library.

"Amity!" A voice called out. I turned around to see Madison skipping towards me. "Hi! Where are you going?"

"Hey. I was just going to eat my lunch in the library." I said. " Library? Why? The canteen's this way." Madison asked, puzzled.
"I don't really have anyone to sit with and I thought it would be better to just sit somewhere quiet and read..." I trailed off as Madison dragged me by the arm.
" Nonsense. You'll sit with us." She declared.

I heaved a sigh of relief. I mean, I liked being alone and all,but a loner life wouldn't be my first preference in a new school. "Us?" I questioned.

Madison opened the canteen doors and barged in. "You'll see." She smiled.

Groups. Groups everywhere. This was so much like my old school. The football jocks along with the cheerleaders had the best table at the window seats. The not so popular ones got the worst seats near the trash bins.

"Hey Violet! Harry!" Madison waved frantically at a couple who were sat at a table. They smiled and waved back as we made our way towards them.

"Hi guys, meet Amity, she's a transfer. Amity, meet Violet and Harry." Violet was a really petite brunette with bangs covering at least half of her face. She had applied loads of eyeliner to give herself a dark look to match with her...unusual outfit? "Is that a tutu ?" I asked her. " Yeah, do you have a problem?" She defended herself. "Oh no, it looks good with your jeans shrug in fact." I smiled genuinely. Violet tilted her head before narrowing her eyes in suspicion. Finally, she broke out into a grin and said," Thanks! I'm an aspiring fashion designer."

"That's great."I grinned and looked at Harry. He seemed familiar...

" Oh of course !Aren't you the guy kissing the redhead in the morning?" I inquired.

The guy, who had been trying to hide his face unsuccessfully blushed hard. "HARRY!!" Violet and Madison exclaimed in unison.

"Why didn't you tell us?"
"Who was she?"
"Your first kiss, Harry!"

"Ladies, please. Calm down. Let me explain. " Harry looked at me with a pointed look that said "this is all because of you". "First, I was going to tell you'll. It happened just this morning and we never had the chance to talk. Second,it was Karine."

I looked at Violet's and Madison's faces and they looked like they were going to blow up. "WHAT? Karine Andrews? You kissed Karine Andrews? Because as far as I know there is no other Karine in this school."

"Will you let me speak?" Harry sighed.
"Sorry." They replied.
"Yes,it was Karine Andrews. But really, she just came over to me and went like," Don't think twice about it." with a scowl. I really think it was just a dare."

"Harry! You allowed her to just kiss you like that? It was your first kiss! And she practically stole it." Violet was fuming.

"I kind of like it that my first kiss was with her. Not many get to kiss Karine." Harry said with lowered eyes.

Madison snorted. "You're crazy, Harry. But if it makes you feel any better, then think as you like."

I was in confusion whether or not to put my opinion. I just met these people. I didn't want to scare them away. But on the other hand, I'd really like to be heard.

"Well I think what Karine needs is a full dose of you so she can know exactly who you are. Since she practically "stole your first kiss", she owes you that much." I said.

Before Harry could get a word in though, Violet spoke up. "Yeah, like Karine would ever agree to spend time with him. No offence,Har, but this is Karine we're talking about. She'd never want to be seen with anyone she thinks is "inferior" to her in public."

I frowned. That concept was utter rubbish. But Madison must have sensed that an argument was coming up from my side so she told us to just change the topic.

The rest of the lunch break passed in a somewhat awkward silence without any more issues.
