Chapter 1- A Change Would Be Good.

"Watch where you're going, bitch. "

I frowned. It very certainly wasn't my fault that the redhead standing before me in all her glory didn't have the common sense to look straight up while walking. Instead,she had been busy stuffing her tongue down the lanky looking guy's throat.

" There's no need for profanities,firstly and secondly, I was surely not the one burying my face into someone else's. " I said.

" Excuse me?" Her sly green eyes narrowed at me,like she had me pinned down. I wasn't taking it.

"Sure. I'm in a bit of a hurry myself." I manoeuvred my way around them and entered the hallway leading to the main office.

" So your subjects are Psychology, Sociology , Economics, English, French, History and Literature?" The lady pulled off her glasses and asked me to sign on a form as she handed another one to me.

" Yes. Those will be the ones." I answered.

" Very well. This is your class schedule and identity card. Make sure you lose neither of them because a replacement of each will cost $3." The lady, whose name I found out to be Mrs.Tunher, warned me. She also handed me my subject textbooks.

" Noted. Is that all?" I slung my plaid rucksack over my shoulder as I asked.

" Yes, Ms.Amity." She smiled," One of our students will be down soon so please wait here for her to show you around."

"Awesome." I took a seat and noticed a blonde girl enter the room. She approached me and I sat straighter.

" Hi! Are you Amity Hayes?" She smiled brightly and I automatically liked her. She gave that sort of positive vibe. "Last time I checked,yep." I replied.

"Cool. I'm Madison. Madison Reed and I'm your guide till you become acquainted with this school. Of course ,if you need help any time ever, don't hesitate to ask." We started walking.

" Thanks." I smiled as we made a stop at the lockers first. Jimmy was wrong, I might just make a few friends.

" Which school did you go to before? " Madison asked me. " Um, Evedfield. "
"That's a good school. Any particular reason for the shift? Not that we mind you being here or anything." She queried.

"I just thought a change would be good,so here I am." Sure Am, great answer.

"Oh, alright." Madison's face fell a little as she realised I didn't want to touch the topic.

The rest of the tour was a little quiet, but it wasn't uncomfortable or awkward or anything.

Suddenly,the noise around us reduced and I looked from the lizard sitting on the door of the dance studio to the source of this silence.

Of course. It had to be a guy. Not just any guy though. He looked like he was Francisco Lachowski and Emma Stone's very own child and had bathed in the royal waters of Poseidon. Dark blue green eyes, golden blonde hair and a chiseled jaw along with a perfectly toned body under that body hugging brown shirt and jeans obviously gave him the confidence to walk like he owned the whole school and everyone studying there.

Suddenly,he looked at me and I felt like the whole world had melted before me.

Pfft...what? Since when did I become so cheesy? Jeez I needed a grip. Not even 10 minutes in this school and already it was doing weird things to me.

"What?" Madison voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"What?" I repeated.

"You just said,'whuzza'."
" Did I ? " I asked in bewilderment.
"Uh,yes?"
"I'm sorry. Errr...who is he? " I nodded in the guy's direction.

Madison glanced at him and smirked. " So he's caught your attention as well, huh?"

I frowned," No, not really. He just seems to have the ability to silence everyone. I'm just wondering whether he's a mutant or what."

Madison let out a bark of laughter before she continued," He may as well be. That's Race Hunters. He's Welton High's resident bad boy and for good reason too. He's rumoured to be involved with mobsters. It's his body that drives every girl insane though. And guys jealous. He's a senior."

"Oh" was all I could say. Just then the bell rang and Madison dropped me off to my homeroom before we parted ways.
