Yemma’s Checkpoint, Age 782
A horrid massacre. Shin, Piccolo and the unknown Janemba had arrived at the scene of Yemma’s Checkpoint. A horrendous crime had been committed. Not theft, or merely slipping into Heaven without going through the checkpoint,
Murder.
Yemma was dead, laying down on his side, his throat slit, slashes on his lips to turn it into a wide grin and eyes gouged out. It was the mark of an old murderer, dating back to millions of years, but no-one could find anything on if he was dead or not; because documentation of them existing couldn’t be found. Either destroyed, or the more unlikely story, that they never died.
Fortuneteller Baba had taken the spot of checkpoint Lord to assign dead people to their realms. Distraught filled the poor woman’s face.
Piccolo, the strongest Namekian to exist, approached the dead body of Yemma with disgust and fear in his eyes, “Yemma, what happened to you…” Piccolo kneeled down in front of the dead man’s face,
Shin, the Supreme Kai, was right behind him as he too looked at Yemma’s face, “My lord, this is horrifying…” Shin spoke, looking at Yemma with sombre eyes, “Someone who killed Yemma, must’ve been insanely powerful. Yemma is one of the strongest beings in our upper-world, it would take someone of immense power.”
Piccolo nodded silently, before speaking, “Yemma should’ve been admitted somewhere,” Piccolo spoke, “We go and ask him wherever he is who killed him and make sure they experience the most painful hell they can.”
Shin shook his head, “No, we can’t,” The kai sighed before crossing his arms, “Yemma wished to not arrive to Otherworld once he died, as he ‘couldn’t bare to see the line be held up without him’.”
“That Yemma,” Piccolo spoke, before looking toward Janemba, who didn’t speak naturally.

Janemba stared at Yemma, not with sorrow or despair, but… triumph? Piccolo could read body language extremely well, learning some of it in an Otherworld poker tournament, but most during his journey on Earth, “He’s grinning, his eyes are neutral… Does he not feel anything? No, he’s expressed a different emotion before, when fighting Goku… So why doesn’t that bastard feel any sadness?”
The purple and red warrior noticed Piccolo staring, and immediately changed his expressions and posture. Janemba wasn’t the brightest, nor the best actor, but he was indeed around the one of the most powerful people in Otherworld, which made Piccolo hesitant to approach for now.
“Never really the sharpest tool in the shed,” Piccolo thought to himself as he turned back to Shin, “I don’t like jumping to conclusions, but this is abnormal.”
Piccolo was about to make a few connections in his mind before Goku and Freyzion touched down with an escapee from Hell; Refrize,
Goku approached Yemma, with anger in his eyes. An anger that Piccolo has only seen the number of times he could count on one finger, and he’s been alongside Goku for 20 odd years.
“Yemma,” Goku put his hand on the dead man’s cheek, “I promise… I’ll avenge you. I’ll keep my training up to the highest standard, and defeat the one who killed you… I promise.”
