A stampede of exited teens and confused Tweens rushed through the large oak entrance to this mysterious yet obvious place. The pictures on the wall seemed to contain secrets but yet left a feeling of peace and confirmability. Sophia gaped at a huge chandelier which didn't exactly hang from the roof, it sort of dangled two feet under it. The older kids didn't really seem to stare or find it unusual so I guess things like that were the norm around here. X who was on the other side of me was looking at a particular portrait particularly closely. He turned around and stared at me then turned back to the picture.
"Hey, Miranda what did you say your last name was again?"
"Umm Payne why"
"No reason"
That was utterly the worst thing to say to a nosy mind reader like me who had your inner thoughts to her disposal. I figured I had enough energy stored up so I decided to take a small peak into the reasons behind X's question.
"They look similar the same blue-green eyes the nose the brown highlighted hair" X thoughts spilled his comparisons between me and whoever was on that portrait. X lemme see that picture I must've gotten the attention of Sophie too she came closer and looked at the headmaster who I had to admit I resembled greatly. We stared for a few more seconds before Sophie broke the silence.
"Well I guess you have family here Miranda"
She didn't know how true the words she just uttered would become...
