Ivorette

After we finally stopped staring at the picture we moved along towards the direction of the rest of the group and the lady who introduced us to this place. I saw many more paintings of the man who I resembled though he was with other people this time. We turned right down a large hallway which had many smaller doors and one large one down the middle to the left. This, I realized was to be our destination. It was a huge auditorium and many kids filed in including a beautiful girl who was encircled by her 'clique'. We happened to be trying to enter the door about the same time as the girls X accidentally pushed one of the girls and the girl in the middle turned to us with unusual yet pretty Ivory eyes and blond highlighted hair. "You think you can look where your going next time" she snapped. Her friends shot us apologetic glanced as if to say sorry for their queens attitude.

"Someone's grumpy today.." Sophie whispered

I smirked and we found a seat on the fifth row.

After everyone was filed In a lady with green~ish smoke and a fresh smell stood at the podium.

"Welcome to the Academy for the gifted where you will learn to control and preform your unique gifts.

Sorry they made me say that

But anyways here you will have adventures and hands on real-life test so we can see how well you are doing here. We plan to take your skills to their full potential. Now enough of this information from yours truly Ms. MN now I introduce you to your headmaster Mr.Payne." She left the stage and a shadow behind the curtain started to emerge.

The man that we saw in the portrait was now in front of us. For some weird reason in this crazy universe the man scanned the crowd and his eyes rested on me. He was about 5'10 with the same ivory eyes and skin as the girl we ran into before. He had the same blue-green eyes and brown highlighted hair. From the first row the girl we bumped in to earlier waved and him and he smiled back tenderly.

A couple of girls behind us were speaking about the girl also.

"Look at her majesty"

" Mhmm become the headmasters daughter and your royalty around here"

" Ugh!! I can't stand Ivorette* and her stuck up behind"

I learned two things from that uh...... Interesting exchange. 1. That girl is the headmasters daughter and 2. Her name is Ivorette. I guess she was named after her Ivory eyes and skin but her parents didn't want to go plain with Ivory. But...whatever none of my business anyways.

"Good morning to our former and newly recruited students. As you know our main goal is to advance and help you and your unique gifts. As you know in our orientations we like to have a little fun. But first, we would like to introduce you to some of the new and former teachers.

Mr.Black- He will be in charge of the magic control class/unit

Mother Nature~ She will be in charge of the energy class/unit

Mr.H will be in charge of the weapons/physical training class/unit

Ms.Garcia is in charge of the cultural arts class/unit

and last but not least....

Mr.Grandez is in charge of the historical class/unit "

One by one as their names were called they stood up and waved to us. Certain teachers got higher applauds then others which caused some dirty glares from the least favorite teachers.The headmaster began again

" Now time for the entertainment for this evening... Your one and only FD joined by two guest singers."

Claps erupted the air and I guess this student group was a big thing around here. I looked at Sophie and X with a confused expression they Just shrugged back as clueless as I was. It became quiet again as the students waited for the performers to walk on stage but what surprised us the most was the group of 2 singers and 6 dancers floated down from the air gracefully.

"What up AFTG!!!!" The male singer said. I joined the rest of the crowd in screaming. The female singer which had a bejeweled mic started speaking.

" As you know last years Queen and King of this Gifted Academy kingdom will open the show with a dance while we sing them a sappy love song so here we go with Lionel Richie's Hello"

Ivorette and another boy considerably taller then her walked to the floor and started a beautiful dance. They seemed together but not one Exactly..

After there dance the FD{and the guest singers} seemed to be really in the mood for Lionel Richie because they continued with his all night long. They had a great performance with a few other songs while FD danced in the background after a a while the performance ended and the headmaster went back to the mic.

" You guys seemed to have a long day so we'll end This beautiful introduction to our school and let you guys go explore and one more thing let the fun begin" he said with a sly suspicious grin.

The mystic lady which turned out to be Ms. Mother Nature went back on the podium to give us last few instructions. " Each of you will receive a fairyl which will reside in the little gift which you received while coming here. Oh and as a warning never I repeat never take them off.

Anyways.. They will be your guide and assist you in all you need just keep them happy. As you will notice the Fairyl will come in your favorite color just different shades so you can differentiate yours from another pupils who has the liking in the same color. You will begin class Monday which will give you today and the weekend to accommodate Yourselves to your surroundings. Now your Fairyl's will appear and show you to your dorms."

When we all dispersed from the room we each suddenly received an item I received a pendant, Sophie received an arm band, and X seemed to receive nothing.

" How come we all received something except you?" Sophie asked .

"I dunno..?" X said then made a tool belt type thing appear.

"Cool"

A silver and turquoise Fairyl appeared with a very small name tag reading Claire. Sophie received a rose colored Fairyl called Grace. X received Frank a vomit green and dark one. " they must really not like me here" he groaned not liking his gift nor his Fairyl.

The Fairyls each spoke to us but they spoke in a very unfamiliar language. About 15sec later either I understood their language Or they began to Speak English.

"I'm Claire your Miranda. I'm a Fairyl your human your a mind reader and I'm your assistant.And that's about all you really need to know."

My Fairyl seemed nice enough but for some reason I suspected she had a bad side I didn't want to get on

"Anyways..." She continued "Let's show you to your dorm. "

X walked in a completely different direction but me and Sophie walked down the same hallway and entered a 4 way stop both me and Sophie walked through the East door. There was another 4 way hallway again, both me and Sphie walked down the same direction which happened to be East again. There I turned to the middle room with Sophie directly across from me. Sophie and I exchanged a smile when we realized we were basically neighbors

"your satisfied with your room so far I suppose"

" yes thank you" I responded

When we opened the room door my satisfaction with this room dropped down anout 25% when I realized that I would be sharing my room with no other then Ivorette...

"Her" i groaned in my head

"yes the headmaster speciffically assigned her to you"

Well this would be interesting...
