Mia's POV:

'Hey.' I said, turning the tap on.

'No, don't do that.' Sam said.

'Do what?' I asked, taking some soap.

'Pretend that everything is fine when it clearly is not.' He said. I washed my face and sighed.

'Okay, I admit, everything is not fine. But, I don't want to talk about it right now.' I said, taking a towel Nat gave me and wiping my face.

'Just come outside after you're done.' Steve said and went out, Sam followed him. I then took a deep breath and took off my jacket, then my shirt. I looked at the scars from the years of torture I had to endure. A few tears escaped my eyes and leaned on the counter to calm myself down.

'How did you get those?' Nat asked. I got startled, forgetting that she was still here.

'Jesus, I forgot you were here.' I said, startled, jumping back and wiping my tears.

'How did you get those?' She asked again.

'HYDRA.' I said.

'What about that?' She asked, pointing towards the three bullet scars on my stomach. I gave her a knowing look.

'That was me?' She asked and I nodded, hesitant to what she might say.

'I'm sorry.' She said and gave me a big hug. I awkwardly patted her back. I don't know how to act when someone apologises to me. I was the one who usually apologises.

'Don't worry about it. You had no choice.' I said, she nodded and let go of me. I put my shirt back on, leaving the jacket.

'Let's go.' I said and she nodded.

'Okay, so the question is, who at S.H.I.E.L.D. can launch a domestic missile strike?' I asked, after coming outside.

'Pierce.' Steve said.

'Who just happens to be sitting on top of the most secure building in the world.' Nat said.

'But he's not working alone. Zola's algorithm was on the Lemurian Star.' Steve said.

'So was Jasper Sitwell.' I said.

'So the real question is, how do the three most wanted people in Washington kidnap a S.H.I.E.L.D. officer in broad daylight?' Steve said.

'The answer is, you don't.' Sam said, getting a file with a picture and putting it on the table in front of us.

'What's this?' Steve asked.

'Call it a resume.' He said, smirking. Nat took the photo and looked at it.

'Is this Bakhmala? The Khalid Kandil mission that was you? You didn't say he was a pararescue.' Nat asked.

'Is this Riley?' Steve asked and Sam nodded.

'I heard they couldn't bring in the choppers because of the RPGs. What did you use, a stealth chute?' Nat asked.

'No, these.' Sam said, handing me the file. I opened it and smirked, then showed it to Steve.

'I thought you said you were a pilot.' Steve asked.

'I never said pilot.' He said.

'No Sam, you got out for a good reason.' I tried to reason Steve nodded, agreeing with me.

'Dude, Captain America needs my help. There is no better reason to get back in.' Sam said. I took a deep breath and had a silent conversation with Steve.

'Alright, where can we get out hands on one of these?' Steve asked and I crossed my arms.

'The last one is Fort Meade. Behind three guarded gates and a 12-inch steel wall.' He said. Steve looked at me and Nat. I shrugged.

'Easily done.' I said, Nat hummed, agreeing with me.

'Shouldn't be a problem.' Steve said and put the file back.

(Time skip to getting Sam's suit and sitting in front of the restaurant)

'Agent Sitwell, how was lunch? I hear the crab cakes here are delicious.' Sam said on the phone. I was on top of a building, with a laser pointer ready. I wanted to get an actual rifle which would've been easy for me but the others said not to. Something about how I might kill him.

'Who is this?'

'The good looking guy in the sunglasses at your ten o'clock.' Sam said and looked where the number 2 would've been.

'Seriously, he's a high ranked HYDRA agent and doesn't know where his numbers are.' I said, scoffing into my comms. Both, Steve and Nat chuckled. When my turn came, I pointed the laser at Sitwell's chest. The next thing I know, Steve is pushing him on the roof I was on.

'Tell me about Zola's Algorithm.' Steve said, walking up to him.

'Never heard of it.' He said, putting on his glasses as Steve just marched on forward.

'What were you doing on the Lemurian star?' He asked.

'I was throwing up, I get sea sick.' He said and almost fell down, but Steve caught him. I walked beside Nat, standing there with my arms crossed.

'Is this little display meant to insinuate that you're gonna throw me off the roof? Cause that is really not your style Rogers.' Sitwell said.

'You're right, it's not, it's theirs.' Steve said, letting go off him.

'You or me?' I asked Nat.

'You do it. He's troubled you enough.' She said.

'What?' Sitwell asked, and I kicked him off the roof.

'Wait, what about that girl from accounting. Laura...' Nat said, snapping her fingers trying to remember her name.

'Lillian. Lip piercing right? Yeah, she's cute.' I said to Steve.

'No, I'm not ready for that.' He told us. Just as he said that, Sam came in his suit and threw Sitwell on the roof and I smiled, walking to him.

'Zola's Algorithm in a programme for choosing Insight's targets.' Jasper said, taking deep breaths and holding his hand out.

'What targets?' I asked.

'You, a TV anchor in Cairo, the Under Secretary of Defence, a high school valedictorian in Iowa city, Bruce Banner, Steven Strange, anyone who's a threat to HYDRA. Now, or in the future.' He said.

'The future, how could it know?' I asked.

'How could it not? The 21st Century is a digital book. Zola taught HYDRA how to read it. Your bank records, medical history, voting patterns, emails, phone calls, your dam SAT scores! Zola's algorithm evaluates people's past and and predict their future.'

'And what then?' Steve asked.

'Oh my god, Pierce is going to kill me.' Jasper muttered.

'What then?' I asked, yelling.

'Then the Insight helicarriers scratch people off the list, a few million at a time.' Jasper said and my eyes widened.

(Time skip to being on the highway)

'HYDRA doesn't like leaks.' Sitwell said.

'Why don't you try sticking a cork in?' Sam said sarcastically.

'Insights launching in 16 hours, we're running a little close on the clock here.' Nat said, poking her head out. I was sitting between her and Sitwell.

'I know, we'll use him to bypass the DNA scans and access the helicarriers directly.' Steve said.

'What! That is a terrible, terrible-' Sitwell said but something landed on the roof of the car, next thing I know Jasper is thrown out and is hit by a truck on the other side of the highway.
