"What do you guys want to work on first?" I ask, gently setting my books and parchment down on the bed
"We should probably start the Defence Against the Dark Arts lesson, seeing as we haven't done any yet" Fred says
"Did you guys want to borrow my quills and parchment? Seeing as your books are already here" I ask
"Nah, I'll go get ours" George says "I'll be back before you can say quidditch"
And just like that he zooms out of the room to go get their things. I begin setting up a study area near the fireplace. Once my books were down there I realised we'd be sitting on the cold floor. I grab cushions from the bed and window seat. I felt hands snake around my waist.
"That kiss earlier.." he says breathily "it was great. But I think you could do better"
"Whys tha-" I start to says I turn to face him
I didnt get to finish my question because Fred had pulled me into him. We locked eyes and he slowly leant down and kissed me. This kiss was different from the one we shared earlier. It was passionate. I parted my lips slightly as an invitation and he wasted no time accepting it. He gently slid his tongue into my mouth, he caressed mine gently. Making me melt into him. I felt myself almost whimper as he pulled himself away. My lips were tingling, swollen from the kiss.
"See," he said softly "I told you so"
My face burned crimson. My brain wasn't working and I has nothing smart I could say back. I just stared up at him, breathing slightly heavier than before.
"Well, am I interrupting something?" George asks, wiggling his eyebrows at us
"I.. uh.." I stammer as I sit down on one of the cushions
"Don't worry princess" George smirks "it'll be my turn soon enough"
I blushed again. Burying my face in my book, trying my best to pull myself together and start thinking clearly. Oh boy, it was way harder than I thought. The twins sat down beside me and opened their books like nothing even happened. It took me a minute to gain my full composure and start studying but once I did, I was well and truly in the zone. We finished the work for Defence Against the Dark Arts within the hour, so we shared my Potions book to start on the homework Snape gave us. We made a decent dent on the essay before it was time for us to go to the Great Hall for dinner.
"Well I guess it's dinner time" I sigh "Ready to go?"
"Yeah, do you think we can finish this tomorrow?" George asks, pointing to his essay
"Sure!" I smile, packing up my things
Fred got up and helped me put all the cushions back before we started to make our way to the Great Hall. This time I won't be able to sit with the twins. Not at dinner. We made it there faster than I would have liked. George gave my hand a gentle squeeze of encouragement before we reluctantly split up. I felt oddly cold. Like I was missing my security blanket. I found a single empty seat at the Ravenclaw table beside one of the Ravenclaw boys. I sat in it. This is going to be the longest hour of my life. The professors did their announcements and then it was time to eat. I grabbed a little bit of most things, eager to try most of it. Its alot different to the food I grew up on, that's for sure. Almost everyone around me began talking amongst themselves. But one conversation was making my ears burn.
"Did you see the mud-blood with the Weasley twins?" Girl #1 asked girl #2
"Shes trying so hard to be a witch that she went and got herself two wizard boyfriends" girl #2 sniggered
"And Weasleys if that" girl #1 gagged "theyre barely wizards themselves"
My blood was boiling. I could feel the fork in my hand begin to bend and almost snap. Say what you want about me but leave my friends out of it.
