Chapter 2

-3rd POV-

For the past few days to months, (Y/n) has been protecting Shinichiro from demons whenever they got close to the shop or near when he was out an about at night. The male would happily talk with the girl while she would just listen or talk proudly of her achievements.

Tanjiro and Zenitsu visited sometimes, when they weren't busy of course, and would hang out with the Sano family or Toman.

Though, one day, tragedy unfortunately struck.

The black haired male stayed back in the shop to fix up some bikes and the girl was near, silently sleeping but was still aware of her surroundings.

Shinichiro paused his movements and looked at the sleeping girl, who had her boar mask removed and set of to the side of her. The male smiled softly, before going back to work, "Still impressed how you're that strong, (Y/n)-chan." He mumbled to himself.

Hours passed and the male finished with his work, before he heard commotion in the shop, which slightly startled him.

'Is it a demon?' He thought, looking at the sleeping girl, 'I'll just take a look, and if it is a demon, I can just call out to her.' He looked out the door, only to see a hooded figure in black clothing, "What are you doing?" He said, but before he could walk forward, another person behind him appeared and was about to hit him, but Shinichiro was pushed forward.

Soon, the sound of metal hitting against a skull was heard, then a thud.

Baji, who was one of the ones who were dressed in black, stared in horror as (Y/n) laid on the floor, blood coming out of her head and her eyes closed, 'No...This wasn't supposed to happen! (Y-Y/n)-chan!'

Kazutora's eyes widen and dropped the bold cutters, making the sound of metal bounce off the walls, '(Y/n)-chan...?'

The black haired male looked at the girl and ran up to her, "(Y/n)-chan! Hey! Wake up!" Shinichiro yelled, as he felt tears welling up, "Oi, I-I promised you tempura...didn't I?" He whispered the last part, his voice cracking.

Sirens were heard from outside, making the three look as police were there along with an ambulance.

(Y/n) groaned and opened her eyes slightly, giving a small smirk, "Glad...to see you...okay...Shinichiro..." She said, before her eyes fluttered closed again.

The said male slightly smiled the best he could, "Y-You said my name right..." He said, putting his forehead to hers and let the tears fall, as they fell against her cheek.

The wild girl was transferred to a hospital, where she had to undergo surgery. Kazutora unfortunately went to juvie, since he took the blame so Baji didn't have to go with him. 

The Sano household wasn't the same, as it was always loud because of (Y/n). Shinichiro kept the the girl's boar mask in his room, and would always carry it around, since he blamed himself for going out into the shop, to the point that he stopped going out.

"Hey...Are we going to go visit her today?" Emma asked, looking at the older brother.

"Yeah. Come on, Mikey."

The said blond walked down the stairs, and followed the two as they headed out the door in silence.

"Hey! You shouldn't be up and running!" A nurse shouted, which startled the three as they got to the floor where the girl was.

"You can't stop me, hag! Where is my mask? And give me better food! This shit is horrible!" (Y/n)'s voice exclaimed.
