The weekend came. And yes, two days have passed since that talk between me and Taehyung.
I just stayed on my bedroom and study, write my notes for school and merely just entertain myself in order to not get tempted and call him.
What happened right after was too intense that I didn't even want to remember. I felt saddened and mad at the same time. I feel so sad for him after what I've found out.
I thought my family was the only one suffering after that incident happened, but damn, I was so wrong. They family experience a lot of anguish, most especially Taehyung.
After, I told him the reason why I don't want us to be together, the thing he told me back left me troubled.
After showering, I throw myself in the bed, still wearing a towel with my hair still wet. I stared at the ceiling as it came back to me.
"Life's so unfair." He scoffed. "I can't seem to get that damn geezer out of my life."
I should have walked away, I should have turn my back but I can't. Instead, I just stared and listen to him intently.
"You thought you're the only one hurting, Chi?" He railed. "Right after, we leave this country and stayed in the States, everything we built for our family collapsed."
His jaw tightened. I can see how frustrated he looks right now. No, broken. He looks so crushed, dispirited.
"I saw how my Dad changed. He became distant. He didn't care about us and just put all of himself to work." He started reflecting as he gape straight ahead.
"And my m-mom," He let out a whimper. "She look so lost. Defeated. And just like that, after a month of us there, I saw her in a tub, soaked with her own blood."
I gasped as tears started pouring in my eyes, uncontrollably.
"Now, you're telling me, you can't be with me because I look just like my Dad?" He laughed plainly.
He stood up and softly caressed my face, wiping my tears while letting his own tears fall. "I don't want to see you in pain, too. I can't afford to let another woman that I've love so dearly suffer because of that man did."
"So, I understand," He managed to smile, his lips shaking. I tried to reach out, to hold him but he backed away. "Goodbye, Chi."

Another week flew by quickly. I started getting busy with school, most especially with the club activities now that the were be dealing with the incoming School Carnival right after the midterms week.
It is fast approaching.
I made it as an excuse not to be bothered with everything around me. My thoughts. My guilt. My Dad and especially Taehyung.
My whole messed-up life, in general.
It has also been that long ever since Taehyung and I spoke to each other. He goes to school just in time for class and went home instantly after classes are done.
Everyone was getting kind of worried about the two of us. They've notice how we kind of avoid each other. All my friends that already had a soft spot for him tried talking him out of it.
But even, Lisa did her best and help him didn't work. Lisa told us even at their home, too. He would just stay in his room and locked himself up there.
I felt so guilty.
But no.
This is for the best. We've got to stay apart from each other. We're only going to hurt each other more if this continues. I did the right thing.
"Right?" I muttered as I watch him rushed his way out of the classroom.
I was quite startled when someone then poked my shoulders. I turned my back and saw Jimin staring at me seriously.
My lips twitched. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"You guys need to talk." He stated.
My eyebrows knitted. "Who?"
"Taehyung," I sighed. I shake my head and looked away. Then, I started grabbing my things in my desk, putting it inside my bag.
"We started getting close, Ji." He stated.
"Good for you both, then" I answered, not giving him a glance.
"No, that's not it," I turned my back at him and wear the straps of my bag. "I'm telling you, he needs you."
"Look, we tried, okay?" I look at him and started walking away. "We're done talking, Jim."
I strolled my way through the hallways and directly marched towards the club room. As I opened the door, Jimin made his way in front which made me halted from my walking inside.
"No, you guys are not," Jimin exclaimed. "You guys just need to sort it out."
"Jim, If you don't know, I'm kind of busy," I firmly said. "I don't have the time of my life like you who chase your dreams and shits like that!"
I gently pushed him out of the way. "So please, don't bother me." I squinted my eyes and nose flaring up from annoyance. I slammed the door in front of his face.
After that, I quickly leaned in the door and took a deep breath. As those tears that I was holding back falls straight away.

I glanced at my watch, 7:25 pm. I grunted in exhaustion. I was getting worn out.
I glanced at my side, Namjoon was doing the file papers while Yoongi, Jennie and Chae are in charge of banner and decorations. Jin was filling out the brochures while Jimin was nowhere to be found.
He didn't set foot in the club room like I thought so. I mean, who would right after that little fight that happened between us, right?
"Hopey's out for the dance practice, right?" I asked. Namjoon nodded at me. "Right," I muttered again.
"I guess let's call it a a day," They all looked at me with their bright, sparkling eyes. I chuckled. "And finished it at home." I added. They all groaned.
"Now, come on." I stated. "Let's get clean up and off we go!"
We started tidying up when suddenly the door slammed open and there stood Jimin and Jungkook gasping, in a frantic.
"What happened?" Namjoon asked. "Why are you guys-"
"Taehyung's rushed in the hospital."
