Shadowsight gazed around the clearing. He'd struggled out of the dark dream Ashfur had drawn him into, pushing his way through the grayness that engulfed his thoughts, and opened his eyes to see... that the battle was over?
He sat up straight, fighting disbelief. But it was true. The rogues were gone, the Dark Frost warriors with them. He should be happy but something was wrong. He felt it...
Shadowsight glanced around and noticed that Bristlefrost and Rootspring sat beside the dark water.

"She's dead." Bristlefrost said looking shocked.

"We didn't even know who she was..." Rootspring says quietly.

A white she-cat pads up to them.

"That was my sister..." she said.

"Oh.. that must've been hard for you" Rootspring responded.

Shadowsight saw that Bristlefrost fell asleep from exhaustion and that Rootspring tried waking Bristlefrost up, but she seemed tired so he just let her be.

Shadowsight tried to clear his mind but he always thought about the unfamiliar she-cats what seemed so familiar at the same time.

Who were they?...
