Ship

"Since a lot happened during the time heading to the Order, I forgot how far the distance was", Eleanor said while leaning on the rail. "Be careful, you might fall", Devon warned the lady who is wearing a Victorian dress. "You must be bored with my presence, Lady Eleanor",  Devon made a distance. After knowing that Eleanor was a noble, he couldn't forgive himself for acting casual towards her. "Don't be too formal, Mr. Devon. It would be more comforting to be called by just my name", Eleanor turned to him and smiled.

Devon looked at her bandaged arm. According to the science department, she lost a lot of blood but her body was able to withstand it. "How does your arm feel?", Devon asked worriedly. "It felt lighter", Eleanor answered right away. "When I had the innocence, my arm felt heavy. It wasn't just my arm, it felt heavy to bear such a heavy burden of being a part of the war I never intended to join", Eleanor covered her eyes.

"Are you relieved?", Devon hoped he's not stepping on a landmine. He looked into Eleanor and she was just staring blankly on the empty space in front of her. "When I was seeing souls back in the town where I am staying, I thought they were ghost haunting me and reminding me of a tragedy. Kanda told me that they were demons. With that amount of demons Kanda slashed that night, I think there are no longer demons lurking around that town. But if I were to see another one, how can I prevent it without using an innocence?", Eleanor braced her herself.

"Aren't you going back to your house? Miss Eleanor", Devon was a little confused. "I...", Eleanor's eye reacted. There's a demon who boarded the ship. "Mr. Devon, we have an emergency", Eleanor panicked. The finder grabbed on his weapon. "Will that be able to destroy it?", Eleanor asked while running inside.

They saw an explosion and smoke enveloped the room. "Everyone, please head outside. Do not inhale the gas", Devon announced as a warning. Demon weapons usually emit smoke that are poisonous. He wore a mask and handed one to Eleanor but she shook her head. Eleanor stepped back to see the Level 2. "Areh~ You aren't affected by my poisonous gas", the level 2 clapped.

Help me.

Eleanor looked at the demon with pity. Devon activated the barrier to capture the level 2. Eleanor closed the door and asked Devon to head outside and contact the headquarter. "But, Miss Eleanor", Devon protested. "I am immune with the gas. Just go and I will do my best to keep it here. Let the passengers evacuate", Eleanor assured and gently pushed Devon outside.

She turned and looked at the level 2 watching her with amusement. "You're not an exorcist. You're not even a Noah. What are you?", the level 2 tilted its head. "A human", he realized and laughed.

I killed a lot in this ship. No one noticed that this guy is a demon.

"I understand", Eleanor sat on the chair and looked straight into the soul. It was chained and he looked like he's in great pain. "Sorry, I cannot do something to save you", Eleanor looked down.

"Are you saying your prayers?", the level 2 laughed. "I will pray for your salvation", Eleanor saw the barrier cracking. She started feeling nervous. "No one can give your aid here. We are surrounded by water. That's why I hid here. Its easier to kill. Its easier to sink a ship", the level 2 revealed its plan. "But, you will not get by unpunished. Even if I perish here and you successfully sink this ship, you will still be destroyed", Eleanor looked at her arm.

You have totally left me, haven't you?

The barrier broke and the level 2 released spikes. Some of its spike stabbed Eleanor's leg. It induced a burning sensation making her scream. "Miss Eleanor!!!", Devon knocked. Eleanor locked the door just in case Devon wishes to come back. "Mr. Devon, you have to evacuate as well", Eleanor stood on her ground and stared into the level 2's eyes.
