"What? " Monami gasped in shock as Sid revealed to her how Karan had punished himself by making the recruits beat him.

"Aur nahi toh kya monu! Tune uske face pe woh big dark red patch nahi dekha? " Sid asked dramatically.

"Haa dekha tha but mujhe laga ki agar kucch personal hua toh woh fir mujhse baat nahi karega! " She told him truthfully as she knew how his coping mechanism worked.

"Woh punch maine maara tha Monu!" Sid told her quite sadly to which she immediately whacked him and he started running inside her room while she started chasing him.

"Sid, teri toh.. " Monami said finally getting a hold of him.

"Monu wait! Usi ne kaha tha maarne ko isliye maara! " Sid told her getting hold of her hands so that she couldn't beat him anymore.

"Aur tune yeh nahi socha ki mujhe kaisa lagega yeh jaan ke ki tune use maara hai! " She replied back sadly as tears formed in her eyes.

"Socha tha isliye ruka bhi but usne provoke kiya toh maar diya maine! Mujhe Miss tod fod ke saamne apni insult nahi karaani thi! " He explained.

"Toh tune Karan ko sacrifice kar diya aur hamari friendship ko bhi? " She asked back getting angry yet again.

"Sorry monu! " He apologized.

"I won't ever forgive you Sid! " She said coldly looking away.

"Kya ho ro hai? " Sanju said entering the room.

"Umm kucch nahi! " Sid said and taking advantage of the situation quickly ran out of the room.

Monami glared at his retreating figure before walking out to hunt down Sid.

"No doctor I am fine! Aap mujhe bas kucch painkillers dedijiye and I would be okay! " She heard his voice and her steps immediately followed his voice.

And before she knew, she was neat the medical room. She saw Karan arguing with the doctor over something.

"But Mr. Shergill aapko chot zada lagi hai.. " Before the female doctor could say something, ge cut her in between.

"I said I am fine! " He said quite coldly.

"Kya ho raha hai?" Monami asked entering the room.

"Uhh woh Doctor Monami, Mr. Shergill ointment aur bandages ke liye mana kar rahe hai? " The doctor complained to Monami just like a school teacher complain about a naughty kid to their parents. Karan glared at the doctor for her stupid behavior.

"Kyu Karan? " Monami asked walking closer.

"Umm woh.. Doctor ab Rani Saaheba aaagayi hai toh wo hi ointment laga dengi! Aap inhe bata dijiye ki konsi medicines lagaani hai.. " Karan blurted after standing up.

Seeing the surprised look on both Monami's and Doctor's face, he realized what he had said.

"I am more comfortable with you kyuki last time meri injury ki treatment tumne ki thi....isliye yeh tum hi kardo! " He explained with a slight pause.

"Okay! " She mumbled and handling the first aid box to Monami, the doctor left the room.

Monami took out the ointment and started applying over his wound on the face steadily in order to not hurt him. She could feel his eyes on her but she didn't dare to look at him.

"Jo kehna hai keh do! I know aapke man mei dher saare sawaal honge mere liye is waqt, Rani Saaheba! " He said after a minute of comfortable silence while still looking at her intensely as she tended his wound.

"Mai hoti kaun hu kucch kehne waali? Jab tumne mujhe shoot kiya tab tumhe clear kiya tha na maine ki tumhaari koi galti nahi hai fir yeh sab kyu Karan ? " She asked him looking straight in his eyes and he looked down.

"Apne aap ko public flyover samajh rakha hai tumne ki saare recruits ko apne upar se guzarne de rahe the ya fir punching bag ki job replace karne ka iraada tha jo Sid se itne punch khaa liye? " She further accused him.

"Woh meri punishment thi! " He said making an eye contact with her.

"Accha? Agar aisa hi hai toh tumhe saza dene ka hak bhi mera tha, haina? Fir kyu mujhse woh hak chheen liya tumne? " She asked placing a bandage on his forehead.

"Nahi Monami aisa nahi hai.. " He was interrupted in between by her.

"Toh tum mujhe batao ki aisa kyu kiya tumne? " She asked closing the box of first aid.

"I am sorry Monami. Isliye nahi ki maine khudko punishment di but isliye ki mai bhul gaya tha ki mujhe punishment dene ka hak sirf tumhaara tha kyuki galat maine tumhaare saath kiya tha. I am sorry but mujhe us waqt kucch samajh hi nahi aaraha tha, andar se yeh baat mujhe khaaye jaa rahi thi ki meri wajah se tumhara sapna tut gaya. Meri ek galti ki wajah se maine tumhare potential ko waste hone diya. Tum ise mere guilt ko kam karne ka ek tareeka keh sakti ho lekin mere paas koi aur option nahi tha apne aap ko better feel karaane ka! " He explained to her as the sad look in her eyes made him feel terrible. But in the other moment, he got surprised as he saw her smiling at him.

"Muskura kyu rahi ho? " He asked.

"Kyuki aaj pehli baar tumne mere saath apne inner turmoil ka ek chhota sa part share kiya! Good progress Mr. Shergill! " She said with pride making him amused at her antic.

"Rani Saaheba, mai abhi bhi aapka trainer hu! " He said seriously.

"Sorry! " She bit her tongue at her own childish act.

"It's ok anyway kya saza hai meri? " He asked.

"Hmm? " She asked back in confusion.

"Tumne kaha na abhi ki mujhe saza dene ka hak tumhaara tha toh kya saza dogi tum mujhe? " He explained.

"Accha haa... Tumne bhabhi ko promise kiya tha ki tum mujhe dinner pe leke chaloge apne ghar but abhi tak nahi leke gaye ho toh tumhaari punishment yeh hai ki tum mujhe apne ghar pe dinner ke liye leke chaloge! " She announced.

"Done! Aaj shaam ko saath mei chalenge! Bhabhi se baat kar lunga mai! " He said with a small smile.

"Good! " She said and stood up to go.

"Thank you!" His words halted her steps as she turned to look at him again.

"Thank you? " She asked in confusion.

"Tumhe yahaan academy mei waapas dekh ke mai bohot khush hu. Ek waqt tha jab mera mission tumhe academy mei ghusne nahi dena tha but ab mai chaahta hu ki tum yaha se best cadet ki trophy leke jao! Isiliye thank you mere saath wapas academy aane ke liye! " He genuinely smiled at her and left leaving her completely in awe of him yet again.

I didn't like the fact that how lightly Monami took Karan's punishment of getting himself harmed considering the fact that she loves him so much to imagine him every now and then. So I wrote it down.
