A Lost (Part 6)

(9 Years Earlier)

Kai walked into the house with his backpack. Lin Jane, pregnant, walked up to Kai from the small kitchen.
"Hey love, how was school?" Lin Jane asked. Kai looked up at her.
"My friend can't come to school anymore." Kai said. Lin Jane tilted her head.
"Why? What happened?" Lin Jane asked.
"The teachers said that his parents got unemployed and are going a little nuts." Kai said. Lin Jane sighed.
"I mean, that'd explain why he was always bruised at school. He said it was his father." Kai explained. Lin Jane nodded her head and walked up to Kai.
"Come sit baby." Lin said, walking over to the living room. Kai set his backpack down and sat on the ground in front of her.
"Getting unemployed is hard on parents. It makes them upset and mad. So mad that they take it out on their own children." Lin Jane said. Kai frowned.
"Will you and dad take out your anger on me if you lose your jobs?" Kai asked. Lin Jane smiled.
"Never I'm my life will I do that Kai. I promise that I'll never do that." Lin said. Kai's frown faded to a straight face.
"Even if something were to happen dad or a friend or something?" Kai asked. Lin nodded her head.
"If I'd do that, I'd never forgive myself and probably take off with my life." Lin Jane said. Kai looked down.
"Now who will be my friend?" Kai mumbled. Lin Jane chuckled.
"You will have some very soon." Lin said, looking down at her stomach and rubbing it. Kai smiled.
"What will they be?" Kai asked. Lin Jane smiled.
"I think I'll name them Jay and Jane." Lin said. Kai smiled.
"Jane will be like me! With your last name!" Kai said. Lin laughed.
"Yep, it'll be Jay Kai and Jane Jane." Lin said. Kai giggled with happiness.

Four months later:

Lin Jane and Quin Kai left Kai alone at home while they left to the nearest infirmary to have the twins Jay and Jane.
Kai waited patiently as excitedly in front of the living room for two hours till they got home. Kai stood up quickly as the door opened. Quin Kai had a down face. Lin Jane walked in after Quin with only one kid in her hand. Kai looked at Lin questionably.
"Where's the second?" Kai asked. Lin Jane ignored Kai and went to the living room. Quin knelt down and picked up Kai.
"Kai, my son. Jane didn't make it." Quin said sadly. Kai looked at Quin Kai and frowned.
"But Jane was gonna be like me. Double named." Kai complained. Quin walked over to Lin Jane with Kai and sat down.
"My son, this is your new brother." Quin said. Lin Jane looked at Kai.
"Kai, this will be Jay Jane. Your new brother." Lin Jane added. Kai looked down at Jay and smiled.
"I'll protect him with my life then." Kai said happily.

Present:
(⚠️MENTION/HAPPENED SUICIDE!⚠️)

Lin Jane slowly opened her eyes to see herself in one of the castle rooms. Jay, Kai, and Ryder were sitting on the sides, all sleeping. She got up slowly and limped over to the window. She opened one of the shades slowly and saw the full moon slowly going down. She shut them and turned to the three. She walked up to them and looked at Jay Jane.
"I'm so sorry my baby boy..." Lin Jane whispered, looking at the bandage on his cheek from where she hit him at. She leaned over and kissed his head.
She moved over to Ryder who was in the middle of them. Lin Jane smiled and kissed his forehead.
"Take care of my boys please." Lin Jane said.
She finally moved to Kai. She stared at him and felt tears come up her face.
"I'm so so sorry my son. Please forgive me for my actions and upcoming actions. And please take care of Jay." Lin said, kissing his head.
"Goodbye my babies." Lin said.

In the morning, Ryder opened his eyes slowly. He focused his eyes and right away, his heart sank. He gasped for air quickly and loudly from shock. This woke both Jay and Kai. When they focused their eyes, they both jumped at the scene. Kai covered his mouth in shock and immediately started crying. Ryder covered Jay's piercing and crying eyes. Kai fell onto the ground and looked up.
"M-mommy—" Kai mumbled. Lin Jane hung there with a smile. Ryder looked away and trembled.
"K-Kai-" Ryder called out.

Five months later.

Jay was playing with the snow that was all over the yard with Caroo. Kai and Ren Kai were on their roofs, clearing the snow off so it wouldn't make the roof cave in. Ryder was outside helping Jay and Caroo build a snowman.
Kai looked down from their roof and smiled.
"Hey babe!" Kai yelled out. Ryder looked up from the snow and at Kai.
"You looking quite hot in those clothes. Should I take them off for you?" Kai yelled out. Ryder blushed immediately and turned back around. Kai chuckled and got back to work.

The snow was everywhere around the almost abandoned village except for two spots in the yard. Two gravestones next to each other labeled Quin Kai and Lin Jane. Loving couple and parents, and a perfect family.

They lost, but Lin Jane gained.
