Meredith's POV:

Cormac. Yesterday I basically turned him down. We stood their for what felt like years just in the moment. I didn't think he cared about me. It turns out he did. I feel so bad. I truly saw something that definitely wasn't Cormac. It looked a lot like love. He looked at me the way Derek looked at me, maybe more than him. I know I shouldn't compare him to my ex husband but I am. I already told Nik I'm going with him and he seems so happy. Ive already done a lot of packing and I'm planning to leave tomorrow.

I am currently doing my hair because today is the day I see if I win the Catherine Fox Award. Nik is my date and I'm pretty sure Bailey is making all the Attending's attend. Which obviously means Cormac is going to be there. Im not looking forward to it but I made my choice. I got this really beautiful shoulder less red dress. It's pretty much a ballgown and I'm going to wear it to the awards. I get done curling my hair and started to do my makeup. " Hey little sister." I hear Elijah. " Hey brother." I said while putting light blush on. " Hey Meredith." I hear and see Hayley my brothers girlfriend through the mirror. " Hayley!" I said and ran over to hug her. " You attending the awards?" I asked her. " Hell yea." she said. I looked and saw her wearing a beautiful blue dress. " You look amazing." I said. " Thank you." She said. " Mer you have twenty more minutes before we need to be out the door." Elijah said. " Oh shoot." I say and hurry up and get my makeup done. " Hayley can you help me put the dress on?" I ask. " Sure." She said and we went to my room.

I got the dress and she started to help me put it on. " So your going to Boston?" she asked. " Yea I am." I said. " Do you want to go?" She asked zipping my dress up. " I do for Nik." I said sounding that I didn't want to talk about it any further. " Where's Lexie?" she said changing the subject. " She's going to meet us their." I said. I turned around and she looked at me. " What?" I asked. " You look incredible and if I were a guy I would definitely ask you out." She says giggling. I chuckled until Elijah let us know that we needed to get going.

Cormac's POV:

She chose him. I mean I should've known but it still hurt. I treated her horribly and now it's to late. I have to see her today due to Bailey making us go to the awards. I was already ready with a tux and was in the parking lot of where the awards would take place. I waited for a couple minutes until I saw more people heading in. I get out of my car and head inside met with a waiter offering champagne which I gladly took. I go and sit down at a table and patiently wait.

Meredith's POV:

I am currently sitting waiting to know if I won the award. I was holding Nik's hand because of how nervous I was. " And the winner for the Catherine Fox Award goes too...............Meredith Grey!" Catherine said. I heard a cheer of applause and Nik kissed me. I went up on the stage and gave my speech.

As I was giving my speech, I looked and saw Cormac. For a moment I stopped speaking and looked at him. I just froze. After a minute of freezing I continued my speech and got off the stage with the award and sat down. Nik looked at me kind of upset and I know why. " Now it's time to dance!" Catherine announced and all the couples got up. I looked at Nik and held my hand out. He took a hold of it and we went to the dance floor. We just started swaying not quite meeting each others eyes. " We're not going to Boston." he said out of nowhere. " What?" I asked confused. " I'm going to Boston." he said. " I thought I told you I wanted to go." I finally meet his eyes. " No you don't." he said softly.

" How would you know." I said quietly. " Because you love him. You only wanted to go to get away from your feelings for him. Look Meredith I'm not blind I know how you looked at each other. I just hoped that ya'll would keep hating each other so you wouldn't realize your love for him. That was wrong of me and I'm sorry. You should ask him to dance Mer." he said. " Nik I'm sorry." I apologized feeling guilty. " I know and it's ok." he said. We let go of each other and he kissed me on the cheek goodbye.

Cormac's POV:

I see Meredith walking towards me and held her hand out. She was in this beautiful red dress. She was the most beautiful women I've ever seen. The dress made her emerald green eyes stand out. It was the perfect dress for her. " Can we dance?" she asked. I took her hand gently and led her back to the dance floor. Then the music started playing. ( Play song) I grabbed her hand and held it. We just started into each others eyes and danced to the music.

All I know is that I feel it

The song was coming to an end. So I spun her and pulled her back to me and kissed her. Our foreheads touched again. We never wanted this moment to end. I got her. I got the women of my dreams. We just smiled at each other. Finally together.
