"You're driving too fast," Iselen whispers shyly while I dodge two men carrying bags to a van parked on one side of the road, smiling amused and taking my foot off the gas when we arrive to the gated community.

"I'm sorry, we'll be home soon... It was a good idea," I answer taking her hand while holding the wheel with the other one firmly. "I'm talking about going with you to the hotel to collect your luggage instead of letting professor Stephens go with you, I couldn't bear to be away from you, not even for a few minutes... I've been waiting for so long to be able to touch you and hug you... What will happen if your boss goes to the hotel looking for you?"

"I told him to call me on the cell phone... Ruby, I don't understand this..."

"I know, you're very confused. You didn't know me three days ago and, yet, here I am telling you that I've been following and watching you for a while... Which sounds a bit creepy, I admit it, but I think it'll be better if I explain everything calmly. Besides, you've been through a terrible situation and I'd rather have you at home, sitting comfortably in my couch... I want to make sure you're okay. I hope they'll find Lara soon and throw that bitch in jail..." I growl angrily, taking the remote to open the gate and driving towards the house main door. "This is my home when I'm in Egypt... I hope you like it because, well, it'll be your home too since everything I have is yours..." I stutter staring at her before sighing and leaning forward to hug her. "I'm so happy, Meri, this is a dream coming true."

"That's what I fear, that this is a dream..."

"It's not," I pull away slowly and cradle her pretty face between my hands. "I promise, babe, everything is real and I can explain it. Let's go, we'll take your bags from the trunk and I'll show you the house. It's big and comfortable, with a beautiful garden with palm and sycamore trees, a swimming pool, wooden lattices and coffered ceilings..."

"Is it a copy of the palace?" Iselen asks puzzled, dragging one of her suitcases towards the door despite I told her I was going to carry them all, she still looks a bit pale and I bet she needs to rest.

"No, that would look weird in the 21st century, my love. My taste is different now, I mean, I'm the princess you knew, there's no doubt of that, but I'm also a woman who has lived in this world for the past 35 years and I love running water and real doors instead of mats... It's complicated," I admit when I realize that my pretty girl is staring at me confused again. "Let's get in... I asked a local interior designer to decorate my house bearing in mind that that I'm an archaeologist and have some antiquities that should be displayed in the living rooms, I also told him I liked fancy furniture and colorful fabrics and I think he was really smart incorporating everything to the design in a way that makes sense."

"It's gorgeous..." Iselen whispers admiringly looking at the carved ceiling, silk pillows and an old alabaster bowl that's on a side table. "This is very similar to the one you had in your bedroom..."

"Yes, it's from the same time period... But this is a modern replica..." I explain pointing at the Senet board on the table. Iselen nods and touches one of the chips with her index quietly, I can't believe she's here, finally... The nightmare is over and now I'll be able to live a normal life with her by my side. My girl clears her throat awkwardly and takes a look around shyly till something behind me catches her eye. "Oh, let me introduce you to Athena, my assistant..." I smile pointing at the brunette woman with curly hair and cinnamon skin who stays close to the door, looking at us quietly.

"I'm pleased to meet you." Athena smiles when she hears Iselen greeting her but she doesn't open her mouth, her eyes travel from her face to mine, the suitcases on the floor and back to the baffled Spanish girl... She taps on the floor with one foot gently and heaves a sigh while I wait patiently for a minute and our guest watches us perplexed till my assistant decides to speak finally although keeping her eyes fixed on the carpet.
