"This is a dream come true," I whisper hugging her waist and leaning my chin on her shoulder while watching the sea and grey clouds swirling in the sky over our heads. Some drops fall on my cheek but I don't know if it's rain or the waves splashing, it's time to leave, anyways, before we freeze to death.

"I'm not cold in my dreams," Iselen replies amused leaning her back on my chest while watching the waves soaking the beach sand and the seagulls flying over some rocks, seeking refuge against the icy wind in my arms.

"I'm sorry, my love, but you know this is England." I move away to take off my warm scarf and put it around her neck carefully before hugging her, trying to protect her body with my arms once again. My pretty assistant sighs and leans her back on my chest again, enjoying the beautiful views quietly. "I guess we should wait some weeks to be able to come for a picnic on the beach."

"It's okay, Ruby, this place is gorgeous, I'm here with you and my new jacket is thick enough to keep me warm. This is perfect..." I smile happily, taking her cold hands and putting them inside my own jacket pocket before placing my arm over her shoulders and we start walking slowly back to the car. She's right: being with her feels perfect. Working together in my library getting everything ready for my next archaeological campaign is perfect, going shopping to London, visiting museums and having tea with scones was perfect, sitting in the drawing room every evening, watching TV with Athena and Tim, listening to his stories, laughing, chatting, eating bread pudding with baked plums is perfect.

"This is way better than my dreams," I admit kissing her temple and she smiles. "It feels good, like closing a circle. I had this feeling that there was something missing in my life, like my skin was itching but the feeling didn't vanish even if I was scratching myself nonstop, like an obsessive thought in the back of my head that was bothering me because I didn't understand it. I think I finally feel peace, I feel whole and fully alive, and it's been two weeks since I don't have nightmares."

"Don't you dream with Ancient Egypt anymore?" Iselen asks, frowning while we dodge some rocks.

"Yes, of course, but they're good dreams. I don't wake up with my heart racing and crying for my lost love... because my love is here."

"And that's all?" I stop to look at her confused. "We're together and happy ever after like in a fairy tale..."

"Well, yes, I guess so. You are happy with me, aren't you?" I ask hesitating and she nods, kissing my cold lips gently.

"Of course I'm happy, you're my dream come true too... Or my coma come true... I still don't understand what happened inside that tomb, to be honest. It's just that I get the impression that we haven't finished yet..." I shrug, bewildered. "Do you really think a mighty goddess has gone to all this trouble to make her high priestess happy?"

"Excuse me, I was a wonderful high priestess, highly committed to my lady and a hard worker..." I answer pretending to be offended and Iselen laughs, nodding.

"I'm sure you were, in fact, I was there watching you. But I don't know, don't you think this is weird? I mean, it shouldn't have happened, it shouldn't be real... Time travelling shouldn't be possible! And reincarnated souls meeting again, gods playing with our past and future... This is not rational..."

"Meri, calm down," I whisper cradling her pretty face between my hands. "There're lot of things we don't know about the universe, nature or the afterlife... This situation may defy human reason but, based on the facts, time travelling, reincarnate souls and gods playing with our lives are real... because we're the proof. And whatever Isis wants from us, we'll sort it out together." My precious girl nods reluctantly while I rub her cheeks with my thumbs. "I lived a human live alone remembering you and my soul missed you for 3,000 years. Now I'm here with you but I won't allow anything or anyone to stand in our way and ruin this opportunity to be happy with the woman I love. But I'm going to need your help."
