Angela's POV:
I went back home that day, feeling happy. So much happier than I have ever been! Like, I can't remember ever being happy..I know, my life is pretty sad. Well, I would have never thought I'd wish I didn't come home happy. My dad literally beat me and demanded that I tell him why I was so happy. I know why. He wanted to break my heart and destroy my happiness. Well, I didn't tell him. I I definitely did not tell him about Oliver, Rose, Max, Katy, and Daniel being wolves. Although he beat me mercilessly, I never said a word. He beat me so bad, I fell unconscious. When I finally woke up, I found myself on the floor of my room. My dad came in the room just then. "Good. Your awake. Now, pack your junk and get out of my house." he said calmly but icily. "But-" "NOW YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING RAT!" he shouted at the top of his lungs. I cried as I packed my what little things I had. I had nowhere to go now..Well, it was now the weekend so I didn't have to worry about school. I didn't have any money to continue going to school, so I decided on Monday I would tell the principal, without telling him my predicament. Well, just my luck, on Monday, Rose saw me walking away from the school after talking with the principal. I was glad I didn't see Oliver..I was ashamed and scared he wouldn't like me now that I was homeless. Rose told me that Oliver had been looking for me and that he wanted to tell me that his father flipped out when he heard about me. She told me about the whole conversation. I was..crushed. He didn't even stand up for me? Well, I told her I had to go and I ran off. I wasn't mad at him..I don't know. I can't really explain how I felt. I know I was upset. I finally sat down under a tree in the park. I stayed there the night. I was so lonely..I don't know how long I was out there, but it felt like forever. I was cold and hungry. One day, I was lying on the grass beside the road. I caught a cold being outside without any warm clothes or shelter. I didn't really have anything! Suddenly, I felt somebody lift me up. I could feel sparks. I looked up and I saw Oliver. He had worried look on his face. When he looked down at me in his arms he smiled and kissed my forehead. "Don't worry. You'll be ok. I promise. If anyone wants to hurt you, they'll have to go through me." he told me. I smiled and fell asleep in his arms. I was happy. I knew in my heart he was being honest. Well, I guess he took me to his home because I woke up in a nice, comfy, and warm bed. Oliver sat beside the bed. "I'm so glad your ok. My mom knows your here and so do my friends. Nobody else knows. I don't want to tell father because-" I interrupted him by telling him that I knew. "Rose told me. Please don't be mad..You would have been able to tell me, but I dropped out of school and after talking to the principal walked out. But, I guess Rose saw me and she told me. I suppose it slipped out." I giggled. Oliver looked surprised and mad. "She never told me she saw you!" he said. "I'm gonna have a talk with her. Don't worry though, I won't beat her up. Yet." he winked at me. Well, it was like that for the next few days. He would spend most of his time with me, but when he couldn't, Rose and Katy, or his mother would take care of me. Sometimes, Max and Daniel would take care of me. But, mostly Oliver. I was happy and I was soon better. However, my happiness wasn't going to last..Because one day while Oliver was giving me some Hot Chocolate, some man walked in his room. I guessed it was his father. He looked nice, but I could tell when he saw me, he was furious. I was so scared I dropped the mug on the floor and it broke. I suppose I was so scared because..my father and all he did to me wasn't totally forgotten yet. "What. Is. A. HUMAN. Doing. HERE??!!" he screamed making me flinch. I was so frightened. "Dad, this is my mate. Angela. She's here because she's my mate and she needed help." "WELL, GET HER OUT. NOW!!" Now I was really afraid..I flashed back to everything that my father had done to me. Oliver looked at me then back at his father. "No." he said. "What did you just say?" "I said, no. I'm not going to abandon her. She's my mate. And I love her. Human or not. Daughter of a hunter or not. She isn't like her father." "You fool! Of course she is! Either she leaves, or you both leave. And I mean this whole Pack!" I was shocked at everything I was hearing. But, when the Alpha said either I leave or both Oliver and I leave, I was purely shocked. I thought only my father would abandon his own child, but now, I'm witnessing another father abandon his own son! His heir! I couldn't let Oliver give up his role as future Alpha or his family. "I will leave. Oliver, I'm sorry, but I can't let you abandon everything for me.." I told him. His father was evidently taken aback but it didn't last for long. "Good. Now, GET OUT HUMAN, DAUGHTER OF A HUNTER." "Don't. You. EVER TALK LIKE THAT TO HER! WE'RE LEAVING HERE! GOODBYE, 'FATHER'." Oliver shouted. His eyes were shifting as I could tell his wolf had taken control. I tried to calm him down, but I failed. He grabbed my hand and we left. We said goodbye to Max, Daniel, Rose, and Katy. We then went into the kitchen and said goodbye to his mother. As we were heading out the door, his father appeared. Happy looking. "I'm ashamed to call you my father, Allen. I'm ashamed to call you Alpha. You don't deserve that title. I hope I never see you again!" Oliver yelled at him as we walked out the door. When we exited the pack borders, I was sad. It was now official. Oliver was now a rogue. Oliver told me not to worry, but I couldn't help it. We were on our own. And Oliver was now a rogue. And, Oliver wanted to find a new pack. He wanted to see if they would accept us. But, I was nervous. Wolves do not take rogues lightly. And, I'm human, which would make things worse. I could only hope everything would be alright. Well, after walking several days, I could tell Oliver was getting weaker by the day. He told me that after the first fight with his father, he wouldn't eat and wouldn't sleep. Now, he was making sure I was safe and eating well. But, I don't think he was eating much or getting any sleep. He knew we were in rogue territory. And that at any moment, a rogue could come up and attack. Well, after a couple weeks, we finally made it to a pack. "We've made it to a pack!" Oliver exclaimed. He sounded weak. I was excited, but nervous. We entered the pack territory and told a guard we wanted to speak to the alpha. They called the alpha and we were soon in front of the alpha. Oliver lowered his head and I did the same, showing that we respected him and his Luna. His mate stood beside him. Or, I guessed it was his mate. "I am Alpha Caleb. This is Luna Natalie. What is it you are doing here?" the alpha said finally after looking us over. Everyone around us were surprised to find that we weren't attacking or anything. "I am the former future alpha of the Silver Star Pack. This is my mate, Angela. We ask for shelter for at least a couple nights. We mean no harm. We do not want any fights or trouble." Oliver told him. Alpha Caleb thought for a minute then consulted Luna Natalie. Finally he nodded and turned to us. "We will help you. You may stay as long as you like. The Sparkling Ruby Pack will be happy to help." Oliver looked shocked. "Wow! The Sparkling Ruby Pack! Your even stronger than my former pack!" he tried to calm down as the alpha and luna chuckled. "We thank you, Alpha. Luna. We are grateful to you. And we assure you, we mean no harm." I said. The Luna turned to me then and asked me a question I was sure if answered, we'd be asked to leave immediately. "Angela, what are you exactly. You do not smell like a werewolf. Or any were-animal for that matter." I hesitated and looked over at Oliver. He nodded at me to tell them. I took a deep breath. "I am not a were-animal. I am human. I am..the daughter of a hunter. But I assure you, I'm not like my father! I haven't seen him in several weeks. I hope this doesn't change your decision. But, we understand if it does." "I see. Caleb, what do you think?" "I think we shouldn't base our actions off of looks. She seems like a strong, and kind girl, Butterfly." he smiled as Luna Natalie turned red in embarrassment. "I told you not in public, Caleb!" He just shrugged and kissed her. He then turned to us and said, "We welcome you to our pack. Damien, please take our guests to the guest house." A werewolf that was next to the Alpha nodded. "Follow me. I'll show you where you can stay." We followed him and I was amazed when I looked at the pack. It was amazing! Huge houses, even a white building that seemed like a hospital! When we got to our house, I was in awe. It was a big, red house made of brick. It had white trim. Our guide bid us farewell and left. We went inside. And honestly, It was amazing! I never saw anything so amazing in my life. But, when we tried to go up the stairs, Oliver just collapsed! I struggled to get him onto the couch in the living room. I didn't want to leave him, but I had to get help. I flung the door open just as the Alpha and Luna were about to knock. I didn't let them say anything before I burst into tears and told them what happened to Oliver. Alpha Caleb hurried into the living room. He took Oliver and rushed outside towards the white building. The Luna and I followed. Luna Natalie was trying to calm me down. "Don't worry, Angela. Our pack doctor is very good at what he does. He will do everything he can to help your mate." I nodded as I sat in the waiting room. They wouldn't let me go with my Oliver. I was so worried I just sat down and cried.
