A Forbidden Love

Chapter 8

Oliver's POV:

It's been a week since the incident with Angela's father, and she still hasn't woken up. I go visit every day. But today I couldn't. Alpha Caleb, father, and I were in a meeting discussing what we should do with Angela's monster of a father. Yes, I called him a monster. I have a right though, he shot my future wife, who is now lying in the hospital unconscious. Well, just as we were about to come upon an agreement, Alpha Caleb's Beta mind-linked him. "Everyone, we have an unexpected rogue attack. This is expected to get ugly, so be careful!" "I will help you fight, Alpha." I told him confidently standing up. My father did the same. "Sir, I shall be willing to help all I can. If there is time, I'll mind-link my Beta Shawn to send more men to help us fight." "I'm not sure there is time for them to get here, but you are welcome to try. But, we must hurry!" And with that we all headed outside. I saw Max and Daniel had shifted into their wolves. Then, I spotted two unexpected helpers. I saw Rose and Katy! Immediately they shifted. Katy's phoenix looked fierce but majestic. And Rose's fox was cute but looked ready for action. That's my little sister for you. Always ready for action. We all shifted and ran to help the others. I could see Katy fighting well. But Rose, who had not yet mastered fighting in her fox form, had gotten surrounded. I growled and jumped on them. Rose and I fought them off together. Then, I saw something I didn't want to see. One of the rogues I recognized. When I was in the woods with Angela before we came here, that same rogue came and tried to take Angela away but I managed to chase him off. I never told my beautiful Angle about it though. He was heading towards the hospital. He looked back at me, an evil look in his eyes. I knew he was going after my mate, but I had no clue how he knew about her being there. Well, no way was I going to let that happen. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me and jumped him. We struggled and fought, each trying to stop the other from interfering. I suppose my father had seen my predicament and came to my aid. I saw his black wolf zig and zag and before I knew it, he had sent the rogue flying. A dark gray and black wolf and a yellowish wolf walked up to us. I recognized them as Max and Daniel. "You ok?" Max mind-linked me. "Yes, I'm ok. Thanks to my dad." I mind-linked him. He turned and I think he mind-linked Daniel what I said. We fought and fought until finally the rogues surrendered. This battle was just as fierce if not more so, as the war we had with my father and his pack. This was a long day, and we were all tired. I tried to make it to the hospital to see Angela, but I think I fell asleep before I could get cleaned up to go.

Alpha Allen's POV:

I came into my son's room to ask if I could go with him to see his mate. But, he had fallen asleep before he could get himself cleaned up. So, I closed his door quietly and decided to visit her by myself. There was something I wanted to do alone with her anyway. No, I don't want to kill her. Although I realize and regret all those death threats I made against her. But in my defense, I was an old fool who didn't know any better. My father raised me to hate humans and hunters, so naturally, I grew up hating them. But, I didn't know that not all humans were bad. And I don't think my father realized either. Well, after I got to the hospital and went into my son's mate's room, I sat down in a nearby chair. If you wondering why I only refer to her as my son's mate, it's because I don't know her name. I never really listened when it was mentioned, and I never wanted to know. And lately, all I've been thinking about is how wrong I was. "Miss, I don't know if you recognize my voice, or if you can hear me. But I'm Oliver's father. I only came because I wanted to tell you how sorry I was.." I said, hoping she could hear me. I got down on my knees and begged, yes, I know she can't see me on my knees. But, right now I don't care how silly I look. "I am on my knees begging for your forgiveness. I was raised to hate humans and hunters. My father and I never realized that not all humans were evil. I never realized till...you saved me. I don't know why you didn't just let me die..I know I deserved it...But I thank you, kind human girl." I got up sighed and turned to leave when I heard a cough and a weak voice that said, "I forgive you, Alpha." I turned and I saw Oliver's mate, awake! "Oh, Kind Girl! Your awake! I'm very happy..and sorry. I am so very-" she cut me off. "I forgive you sir. Where is Oliver?" "We had a battle with some rogues. We won, but it was pretty tiring. Oliver tried to come, but he fell asleep." I told her. Then, I asked her a question that I should've known the answer to. "Ma'am, forgive me, but um, what is your name?" She giggled softly. She has such a cute laugh. I can see why my son likes her, and not just because she's his mate. "I'm Angela, Alpha Allen." I nodded then hurried to call a doctor. I know I should have done that when she first woke up, but it wasn't what was first on my mind. My wolf was going nuts with apologies and before he took control and poured out about a million of them, I left to get the doctor. The doctor said she was just fine and could go home in a few days. I was so happy! "I will tell Oliver when I get home." I told her but she shook her head. "No, Alpha, please let him sleep. He needs his rest after a fight with rogue wolves like that." she said. She's really caring. She'll make a great Luna. "Angela, I asked Oliver if you both would come back to the Silver Star Pack. He will be future alpha again. After he proposes-" I stopped short when I noticed her ring. I did not see that before-I'm really dumb! She laughed. "It's fine, sir. Please continue." I smiled and continued. "After you and Oliver get married, he will be the Alpha and you will be Luna. I think you would be a great Luna. He would make a great Alpha as well. Better than me, I expect. He said that he wasn't going to go if you said no. But if you agreed, he'd go. Do you want to come back? I promise nobody will harm you. If they do, I shall banish them out of my pack." She thought for a while and I was honestly thinking she was going to say no. but she surprised me. "I will go. If Oliver wants to go. I don't want him to go back if he doesn't want to. I only want him to be happy." "Of course. We will talk to him when you get out. And I assure you, you will be able to see Alpha Caleb and his Luna. We will invite them to every single party and event we have!" She smiled. "Thank you, Alpha." And with that she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. I smiled at her and then my eyes turned towards the clock. Visiting hours were almost up! I had to get going or I'd be kicked out. That would be embarrassing for an Alpha. When I got back to the house, I saw Max and Daniel trying to make dinner..Or at least I think that's what they were doing. Rose and Katy were sitting on the stools by the counter laughing. "What's going on here?" I asked. "The boys are making dinner." Katy told me laughing. I chuckled. The last time I had Daniels cooking, I threw up before I could take a second bite! So, to avoid any unwanted events, I offered to cook. They looked at me like I had lost my mind. "Uh, have you ever cooked before? No offense but uh.." Rose began but didn't finish. "Rose, I'll have you know, before you were born I cooked breakfast for your mother everyday." With that I got everybody out of the kitchen and started my favorite meal to cook. Beef and Cheese. When it was done and we all were sitting down, (Oliver was still upstairs sleeping.) we all ate and I'd say, they really enjoyed it. After dinner, Max and Daniel washed the dishes, while I went upstairs and the girls stayed downstairs to watch some movies. I went to bed that night grateful and happy. Grateful that my son has such a kind and forgiving mate. I only wish I could go back in time and fix all my mistakes so they never happened.
