A Forbidden Love

Chapter 6

Angela's POV:                                                                                                                                        Time jump-Christmas day, 6 months later.

I was getting ready for the big Christmas Party that Alpha Caleb and his Luna always throw every year. I was excited! I'd never been to a party before! I never really had a real Christmas either. "Katy! Did you take my dress I was going to where for the party?" I yelled. I was sure she'd taken it. She'd been talking about it all week, like how I shouldn't wear it. And now, I couldn't find it anywhere! I knew it wasn't the best dress in the world, but it was the only one I had. It was a muddy brown with sleeves ripped short. And, it was pretty short. I wouldn't say it was my style, but It wasn't my choice. My father got it for me when I still lived with him. He ripped it on purpose. I watched him do it. It wasn't something I liked to remember. "Yes, I did!" Katy called out. "Well, I need it back! Where did you put it?" I asked. "I threw it in the trash a week ago." she said calmly. She had at that moment appeared in the doorway, wearing a lovely dress that matched her 'wolf' perfectly. Well, it wasn't really a wolf. Katy is a rare phoenix. Her dress was a fiery orange and red. "Why in the world would you do that?!" I was about ready to scream. I didn't want to go in leggings and a shirt! "I did it because it was garbage, Angie" She sometimes called me Angie a a nickname. I kinda liked it, but right now, I was ready to burst. "Well, I hope your happy because now I have to wear leggings and a shirt! I didn't want to wear those, I wanted to wear a dress! I'm going be the laughing stock of the party.." I sat down on the bed, mad. "Oh don't worry. I got you something even better to replace it." She smiled as I looked at her confused. "What's this?" I asked as she handed me a plastic bag. I opened it up and gasped. Inside, was one of the most beautiful dresses I'd ever seen! It was green velvet, long sleeved and had a bow to the side. "Oh! It's beautiful, Katy! Thank you so much!" "No problem. Now, hurry up and get changed. Rose has a little surprise for you as well." She winked at me before heading out the door. I was confused but hurried off to change. I loved this dress! It was so elegant! I decided to try curling my hair to go with it, but I had trouble figuring out how it worked then burnt my fingers. (I'd never really used one before.) "What happened?" Rose asked running in the room. She was wearing a lovely red dress with 3-quarter sleeves and sparkles. I  think she heard me yelp. "I'm just having trouble with the curling iron." I told her. "Here, let me help." she smiled and took the iron from my desk. She curled my hair with expertise. When she was done, It looked stunning! "Thank you, Rose! It's wonderful!" "Your welcome. Now, here. I thought these would look perfect with your new dress." She handed me a small box. "Katy told you about it?" I asked. "I helped pick it out! Now hurry up and open it! I want to see your reaction!" I laughed and opened the box. What I saw, would be so perfect with my outfit! They were a pair of silvery-white dangling earrings. "I put them on with a little help from Rose, as I've never really put on earrings before. Then, I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked like a princess! "Oh, their beautiful! Thank you so much! I love them!" Rose smiled and waled out of the room. Now, I had to find my handbag. "Has anyone seen my-" "Handbag?" Max interrupted me. He and Daniel stood in the doorway. They wore smart black suits. Max wore a gold silk tie, and Daniel a green silk tie, I knew that their mates had picked those ties for them because I was there picking Oliver's tie ." Here. We got you something that would go better with your dress and other outfits. The girls helped us pick it out." Daniel handed me a small bag. When I opened it, I saw a small, black handbag! It was so nice! "Thank you boys! I love it. Let me guess, you threw my old raggedy one away?" "Well, actually it was Katy and Rose who threw it away." Rose and Katy. Figures. "Well, I think your ready. Shall I tell Oliver?" I nodded with a smile. A couple minutes later, I was descending the stairs. Oliver stood at the bottom of the stairs and was looking up at me. His mouth was open and his eyes were wide. "Wow.." he whispered. "Hi, Oliver. You look handsome tonight." I replied when I reached the bottom of the stairs. And he really did look handsome. He was dressed in a black suit with a red silk tie. "And you look absolutely breathtaking." he said as he took my hand. Together, hand-in-hand, we walked over to Alpha Caleb's Pack house. It was really huge, so I wasn't surprised he was having it here. I had so much fun that night! We sang Christmas carols, opened presents (All the pack does a secret santa and brings their gifts to the party.) , and we had dinner. It was a really good meal. We had Roast and asparagus, with mashed potatoes and gravy. We had some chocolate pie for dessert. After dinner, we watched the pups of the pack put on a little play they made. (I just figured out recently that a kid who's a wolf, is called a pup. Kinda cool, huh?) We left the party around midnight. I was really tired, and for once, I wasn't tired because I was cleaning the house for my father all day! It felt really nice. Oliver, Max, Rose, Daniel, Katy and I sat by the fire in our guest house. We handed each other gifts that we had gotten for each other. I got Max and Daniel each a new watch, I got Rose and Katy each a pretty necklace. Katy's went with Max's watch and Rose's went with Daniel's. I wanted to get them something that would go good with mates. Well, You might be wondering what I got for my mate. I had a little trouble thinking of something special for him, so I made him his favorite cookies. I was definitely nervous, but I realized I had no reason to be nervous. Because he loved them! Well, after we finished with all the gifts, we decided it was about time we head to bed. So, that's what we did. That was one of the best days of my life. But, soon it was all going to turn into a nightmare. For soon, I would see my father, and Alpha Allen again. At the same time.
