Jasmine's P.O.V.

"Why? Why did god make men so damn confusing?"

I turned to my two best friends while slumping into the couch in the cafe. It's been two months since we came back from Bali, and these two months had me questioning my sanity. The reason was none other than my one and only husband, Nathaniel Valencian. He'd been so lovely and romantic to me that I had started contemplating whether I should nominate him for the husband of the year award.

"It's actually been proven scientifically that men and women are equally confusing...Ouch." Vivian screeched, probably because Scarlett kicked her from under the table.

"No one asked for professional advice Ms Therapist and Jas as the opposite sex expert of the group; I'll tell you that men are not just confusing, but they are all obnoxious, arrogant, nonsensical and highly egostical." Scarlett said matter of factly.

"That's my problem. He's supposed to be everything you mentioned. But instead, he's being so caring, sweet and bloody romantic." I complained.

"Nate being romantic is hard to picture. I thought he'd just have the pissed of expression all the time. What did he do anyway?" Scarlett mused, and Vivian turned to me expectantly too.

"What did he do? What didn't he do?" My mind drifted to events of the past two weeks.

Flashback

I felt my body being lightly shaken, like someone was trying to wake me up.

"Go away, Kristen; I already packed your sandwich just heat it and ask Scarlett to drop you. Don't disturb my precious sleep." I muttered with my eyes closed and snuggled closer into my pillow and blanket.

I didn't hear a reply, so I thought she left until I felt the blanket over me being pulled away, and suddenly, a pair of arms lifted me off the bed, making me scream. My eyes flew open and came in contact with beautiful sapphire ones.

"Good morning to you too my beloved wife." Nate looked at me with a smirk on his beautiful lips.

"What the hell Nate? Put me down." I tried wiggling in his hold, but it was of no use. Guess what? He didn't put me down. Instead, he carried me to the washroom and finally put me on my feet once we were inside.

He walked to the cabinet, picked up my brush from the cup and placed toothpaste on it. He pulled me to stand in front of the sink and set the brush in my hand, making me glare at him.

"I could have done that myself."

"You could but you're half asleep and why do you need to when I could do it for you."

Relax, Jas, relax. Don't ruin your mood in the morning by mauling your husband's eyeballs with a toothbrush. Then you'll have to drive to a department store a buy a new one.

So I just ignored him and brushed my teeth, but I could feel his intense stare on me. Only then did I realize that I was wearing my pyjama shorts and shirt. Might I include one that had Spongebob printed on it? I could feel heat rise up to my cheeks.

I looked at his image through the mirror and noticed that he was wearing a black three-piece suit. Before my eyes started to wander, I directed them away and finished brushing my teeth.

I placed my brush back in the cup and turned around to find Nate's gaze still on me.

I cleared my throat, and he finally looked away from me, brushing his fingers through his hair messing it up. He grabbed one of the robes from the shelf and placed it in my hands.
