Jasmine's P.O.V
I'm already regretting this.
Just like I had expected Scarlett ditched me for a blond-haired guy within 10 minutes since we came to the party. As I followed them, the crowd engulfed me, and before I knew it, they were gone. I did find the blond-haired guy whose name I later learned was Brent while he tried to get my number. But when he saw my ring, he quickly apologised and backed off. At least, not all guys are jerks.
As for Scarlett, I inferred from him that she went with another guy named Noah. And from Noah, I got to know that she went with someone name Oliver. This had been going on for the past 2 hours, and as of now, I'm looking for a guy named Liam.
Like I said I'm regretting this.
I walked around, asking for Liam. Half of the people had left, and the rest half were either drunk or making out or both.
The smell of alcohol had filled the place. It was a relatively large house. I guess it was more of a mansion than a house.
I tried asking people who were at least a little bit sober, but no one seemed to have seen Liam or Scarlett.
I sighed. I just hoped she was okay.
I felt my phone vibrate in my hand. I quickly checked wishing it'd be Scar, but it was Tony. I answered the phone and placed it on my ear and spoke.
"Hey"
"Hey, Jas. What are you doing now?"
I sighed.
"Scarlett convinced me to go to a party with her. And I'm already regretting it."
"Shit! Are you okay? How long have you been there? Do you want me to come pick you up?"
I smiled at how thoughtful he was. These were the times I knew I took the right choice, not that I had any choice, to begin with.
"No, it's okay. Judging by the time Scar is alone with this guy I bet she's hooking up with him somewhere. I'll leave as soon as I find her." I said so that he doesn't get worried.
"Okay, then. Just be safe and call me in case you need help." I hear him sigh.
"Yeah, sure, I will."
"Okay, then text me once you reach home safely."
"Okay, I will. Bye!" I said as I cut the call.
Tony wasn't only considerate, but he also never doubted me or never got jealous and possessive. He believed that I should equal freedom in our relationship. The fact that he isn't a chauvinistic asshole makes this marriage easier for me even if it isn't based on feelings of love.
Now I better get back to looking for Scarlett. I just wish that Scarlett is at least sober enough to know what she's doing. I don't want her to end up getting pregnant.
I went to the poolside to see if they were there, but I guess my luck still hasn't decided to pay me a visit. I turned around to go back inside when I bumped into an enormous wall. I swear there wasn't any wall there before. I closed my eyes and stumbled backwards from the impact and was about to fall when I felt an arm snake around my waist. I opened my eyes instantly to see to intoxicating sapphire orbs staring back into my violet ones. His eyes didn't seem to leave mine anytime soon, and I, for some odd reason, didn't appear to mind either.
We both stayed like that for God knows how long till we heard a cough from beside us. He didn't seem to care, but I whipped my head in the direction of the noise. I saw four guys all of them looking like they popped out from an episode of legends of tomorrow. They were looking at us and grinning as they said something to each other. That's when I realized the position I was in. I turned back and found that the guy was still looking at me, but this time not only my eyes. He was scanning my face and abruptly stopped at my lips. I felt heat creep up to my cheeks under his intense stare.
