Kotah,

I can remember when your family moved in, just a few houses down. I think I was five, maybe six. I guess you would have been the same age.

I was hoping that you were a boy so I'd have another friend to play with. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty upset when I found out you were actually a girl. It only took almost ten years for me to like the fact that you were a girl.

We did play together a lot. I remember that. Our parents became good friends and then we did, too.

It didn't take long for me to develop a crush on you. It was hard not to when we spent so much time together. It just took me a while to tell you. A long while.

Of course, the rules started getting a lot stricter once we grew up and our parents knew about us. But at least your father liked me. It was pretty funny when I came to pick you up for one of our dates and he was on the porch, cleaning his gun. You were mortified but we laughed about it.

Even when we were just kids, you came to my games, even played with me in the driveway sometimes.

Then when we started dating, you were with my parents on every road trip they went on, waiting with a kiss after every game. It was amazing. I definitely missed that when you left.

I missed everything about you when you left.

Love,
Robert
